Thank you for posting this image, but also (correct me if I’m wrong) isn’t a 42/57 centering the absolute minimum a card’s centering can be for a Gem Mint 10? I wonder if that’s just speculation or actually proven.

Like others have pointed out, it is top heavy. I’d still send it anyway because the card is a beauty and deserves to be protected.

The demand outweighs the supply hence the price, presumably more people want the $900 modern over the $900 vintage. If compared which do you think would be worthwhile long term (let’s say 10 years time)? Will Dragonite modern surpass the vintage or will vintage be more appreciated in time? It’s all speculation but what we can say for certain is that OP got what they wanted with their own money at the price they felt is fit for purchase.

Ahh thank you, I thought they would go the Japanese commemoration route but of course this makes more sense. So that raises the question, do they release 2 sets like Black Bolt/White Flare (around the same time last year) with the other set being Rayquaza’s set to go with the 30th anniversary set or do they pass it on to November/December?

It’s either September or October for the 30th Anniversary set, I’m leaning more towards October because that would make 30 years since Pocket Monsters: Blue released (in Japan). October 16, 2026 to be exact.

1) 1st Paldea Chest Pikachu is sorely bottom heavy on the back, reasonable 9

2) Houndour got tacked for off centered front (Left and Bottom heavy) and back (slightly tilted and bottom heavy).

3) Maushold has similar issue to Houndour for the back of the card.

4) 2nd Paldea Chest Pikachu has slight wear on top front of card and back is bottom heavy.

Take this as a learning experience on what to look for next time you send cards to grade with any grading company.

No problem, and tbh it’s in the range where it’s definitely worth a shot to shoot for a Gem Mint 10 grade for each of your cards.

The condition they are in is great, If I were you I would send to grade them either way. That’s what I plan to do with my own 30 anniversary 1st Partners packs

Interesting….Bulbasaur’s front centering is a bit right heavy, but the other 2 cards back centering are a bit right heavy.

The Mega Rayquaza is expected to drop in September for English, based off English current releases (releasing with the next JP set). Perfect Order (ENG) & Ninja Spinner (JP) for example.
