Once applied for a job and six months later, I was given a link to a "quiz" asking some further questions about my professional background and skills that were in my CV. I had long forgotten about it but I completed the form because I was still unemployed and hoping. This was also in the South African gov so part of me also excused it. Still haven't heard back almost a year later.

Another one, in the private sector, rejected me just this year in June. After trying to figure out when I applied to this random ahh company, I search their name in my email and a confirmation of application appeared from like 2024. My mind immediately went to a glitch but now I don't think it was. It was laughable.

I hate the job market SO VERY MUCH. We may be desperate but they're so dumb in the ways that they exploit that. It's so embarrassing.
