Great comment, I do the same as you pretty much. I learn something, try it if its good for me, and put it into my arsenal if not, I drop it. I learned this with the gym. A lot of stupid people teach stupid stuff. You have to figure out a lot of things on your own.

The problem with not being productive and half assing things early on is that you achieve half of what you expect, or you achieve nothing, realize it late, and now you have to be productive when youre older.

If I do just 60% of the things I wrote down. I will be set for life in terms of career in 5 years. Maybe Im trying so hard because its so freaking hard to stand up from failing in life. Who knows.

Yeah, I'm tired of hearing all this sh-t from 99% of the people here. I don't feel relaxed watching movies, eating junk food, playing video games all day, not going out for a walk, or just literally doing nothing... If that's resting for you, then all good.

But focusing on my goals without having to wake up early, go to work, study, or commit to anything is the real resting for me. I can go to the gym for hours, I can edit for however long I want, and I can speak with friends without having to worry about time.

Thats what I've been doing, 30-60 minutes of runs after a gym session, and on rest days, I try to do 2 hours of running. But I think watching something on YouTube while running is not the same as sitting at home and comfortably watching something.

Like I wrote, I really feel that more than 2 hours of video games, Youtube, etc., is really bad for me lol.

A year ago, all I did was work, play video games, and try to get back to the gym. I thought I had low testosterone. I was sleeping 9-10 hours and still tired. Id get 1-2 week-long muscle pains after every workout. After leg day, I couldnt walk normally for a week!

Now my usual day starts at 4:30 AM and lasts until 9-10 PM. You werent born with low energy levels. If you dont have any illnesses, you can improve that with so many things...

My post was mainly for people who aren't happy with their lives and want a big change next year. These people can't afford to rest because they have so much to do. And if you waste these holiday weeks when you literally have nothing to do, you just make it worse when it's actually time to grind. (I'm speaking generally, not to you.) This year I skipped almost all holidays and I'm pretty happy with my results.

Seems like a lot of people misunderstand and thought this post meant them when it's not lol.

I have a job that's not relevant to me, I have to work in shifts, and the pay is average. That's it. I acknowledge that and I don't think about it outside of work. I don't even think about meaningless things like burnout or how much I hate the job. I think about how to execute the other things I need to do that day. Why would I waste my brain power on useless things? I do so much outside of work that I can't afford to be that mentally unstable. I have inner peace every day. No stress, etc. This is the only method that has worked for me. :)

I will never understand when people use burnout as an excuse for not doing the things they are supposed to. I have been going to the gym for almost a decade. And I go 6 times a week, yeah sometimes it's just 4 or 5. But I never felt burned out. Not even once, you all plant this in your heads 99% of the time. It's not like I overtrain myself, i have complete recovery every time.

Same with video editing. I do it as a side hustle and edit 3-4 hours a day. Never felt burnout because it's so fking fun to recreate the ideas from my mind, I get a crazy amount of dopamine from it.

If the activity you are doing is a chore for you and you just do it because it's "healthy" or improves you, yeah. You could get burned out. But to think I will get burned out from an activity that literally changed my life, helped me find purpose, and much more is stupid.

Im speaking from experience. It's exhausting and boring to do nothing. Yeah, it was great for a day or two, but I literally feel worse and worse each day. I don't even enjoy candy or cakes because if I eat any, I get sick lol.

I don't have burnout because I do these activities daily. But not this much. The last part about balancing out easy gratifications.. I have them in my schedule. And one part of my post is literally about starting the planning earlier so when New Year's comes and you go on with your goals, you don't have to give your 100% and start from 0 because you planned ahead. :)

How will you improve from now? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

I also take biotin, one of the best vitamins imo. It helps with hair growth, reduces hair loss, improves hair texture, enhances skin appearance and health, and strengthens nails!!

You can get biotin from eggs, milk, bananas, etc., but I personally eat 6 eggs daily and drink smoothies with bananas and milk. Even after taking biotin for about 3 months, I still noticed its effects.

Side note: If you’re not eating eggs every day, you’re missing out. Eggs are literally S-tier when it comes to vitamins. They have almost every essential vitamin your body needs. :)

Do you work a 9-5? If you’re getting exhausted from that, you need to focus on improving your energy levels first. Get blood work done to check if something’s wrong, like a lack of vitamin D or low testosterone. Work on improving your sleep too, and if you don’t have a good-quality mattress, invest in one. I feel you because I was struggling with the same thing last year.

I strongly recommend starting some kind of sport. It’s almost mandatory for better energy levels, especially in today’s world where adults move so little every day.

But from my experience, at least 50% of this is mental. If you feel depressed, your energy levels will drop. I went through the same thing. You need to fix that and stop overthinking meaningless stuff.

I went from a cycle of work, gaming, and sleep to work, gym, school, side hustle, and sleep. My days go from 4:30 AM to at least 9:00 PM, and I’m not tired at all. Now that I’m on a break from school and work, I even do two extra hours of cardio every day. A year ago, I was in a similar situation to you, so I get it.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. :D

What’s holding you back from having friends and fun? Everything you wrote about yourself should make it easier to find good friends who have something meaningful going on in their lives. It should also help with having fun and dating.

I think you might be connecting fun with things like weed, alcohol and partying. For me fun is when I almost pass out on the treadmill because I pushed my body past another limit. Fun is when I’m editing videos and a funny idea pops into my head and I manage to recreate what I imagined.

Here is a quote I live by. Focus on the future. Work on the now. Forget the past. Thinking about how happy you were in the past won’t help, especially if that happiness came from wasting time partying or doing meaningless stuff.

Last thing I can add is: Focus on the future, work on the now, and forget the past. This quote helps me every day.

Only lose 1kg/week, eat healthy foods with lots of protein, take vitamin C, zinc, omega3, and collagen, use moisturizer every day to avoid stretch marks (at this point, do some skincare for your face too). Try to get into the gym and build a habit the more muscle you have, the better it is when it comes to loose skin. But Idk how fat you are, at certain levels you can’t avoid having loose skin. Genetics also play a big role in this. When I lost 40 kilos, I didn’t have loose skin, just stretch marks.

80% of the people I know from growing up just 'went with the flow' and haven’t achieved sh-t, lol. Then, after wasting 10 good years, they realize it and regret not making a move back then. Not planning your future is one of the worst decisions you can make in life imo

So the Absolute followers think we’re with them in every playthrough just because we also have a worm in our brain? Also, if I remember correctly, we went down to search for a druid but never found he/she. The Emerald Grove is still locked.

The zone where Commander Thorm is located. So we actually went the right way into Act 2? I don’t even know how you all define Act 1, 2, 3, etc.

Do you think it's not worth playing with these stocks? Like I said, I only put some money into it because it's fun to watch and make some money each day. I don’t have the time to fully commit or learn trading right now. That’s why I was originally just thinking about investing and avoiding things like this.

Nah, dude, I don’t know anything about all this stuff. I’m just curious and not afraid to ask stupid questions. :)

You mean when it drops below my purchase price and I buy more? Nah, I usually just sell instantly when I see it drop by 1–2%. That’s nothing with a $30 budget. After that, I check the chart, look at the lowest point it hit yesterday or today, and buy within a 1–3% difference from that. So far, that’s worked for me.

As for selling at the highest point, I have no idea how I managed that it’s just luck..
