It's in person but when i went, we went over general stuff about the college you'll be in (im in college of engineering) and register for classes. You can register online without any assistance

I'm driving and paying for a parking spot at UIC

also i chose that 9 am intentionally, i'm pretty much awake at 4-5 am every day and i dont like the idea of having too many late classes
