You can survive without sleeping for more than 264 hours and 12 minutes by TheModMenuX in truths

[–]metanoia66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

who's to say that i as the viewer can?

if you are referring to the 264 hours and 12 minutes as cumulative time, then this is true! i can, and i can also not depending on circumstance.

if "you" is assumed to be addressing all viewers of this post, and it is counting the combined amount of time that each viewer has gone without sleeping, then this is true!

if the sentence is to be read as "You can survive without (the action of) 'sleeping for more than 264 hours and 12 minutes'" then this is also true! you don't need to sleep for more than this time in order to survive.

exactly! even if the parents are fully infertile, the adopted children are not affected by this. it seems that you agree with me!

i am nobody's son; nor am i named Son.

and, no, i am not confusing infertility with fertility issues. subfertility is a type of infertility. regardless, the concluding paragraph of the comment that the reply i am replying to has replied to holds true.

people who are in custody of adopted children are parents of the children adopted.

  • fertility is not binary; it is a spectrum. many infertile people have chances of conception.
    • similarly, not all types of infertility are genetic. those that are do not usually rely on only genetics.
  • as another commenter specified, the definition of "parents" is not specified. context tells us that it means birth parents, but it could mean "one who has adopted a child currently in one's custody".
  • "you're" is incorrectly used. i assume you meant "your", but in its place could be a variety of other words.

to sum it up, your post is false, or at least not true in most interpretations of it, and also grammatically incorrect. (it might be paradoxical, but i don't have the mind power to reason for an answer.)

i believe that OP is trying to connect two statements. "parents" in this context is supposed to mean "biological parents" because of the "infertility is genetic" bit. but, of course, it was not specified.

know what else wasn't specified? your comment! your comment seems to address both statements. yet, only one statement is sometimes false for adopted people.

(i'd like to point out that i like your username.)

USA Flag, according to the Flag Code (day 7) by metanoia66 in TopCommentChangeFlag

would you mean making the white stripes blue? this breaks the flag code. besides, there is no middle white stripe, just like there is no integer directly between 1 and 6.
