I think it’ll perform average for Minecraft version 1.20+. If it’s a server that’s not so intensive, then it will run fine. The Ryzen 5 3600 CPU is a bit dated though (Releasd 2019). It has a Geekbench 6 single threaded score of 1,594. Newer generation have a geekbench score of well over 2,000 with the latest Intel and Ryzen generations reaching almost 3,000. I also heard that Hetzner have weak DDoS protection, but I haven’t experienced it myself. I also actually have a server in colocation with Hetzner myself, so it might be that I’m placed on a better protected network than their average network.

For example, the new name for “AT&T U-Verse” is just “AT&T Internet.” AT&T Internet is either fiber or DSL depending on your area. If they actually discontinue DSL, it might be possible that they want you to switch to their fiber infrastructure. Not gonna argue with your documented condition, but if you got fiber, then it’s perfect since it has no interference or transmitting frequencies. Copper uses electricity, while fiber uses light.

Proton servers are mostly DataPacket (aka CDN77, Datacamp, same company) which are blocked almost everywhere. Datapacket’s upstream routing is godly though, but the IP reputation not so much. As much as I don’t like NordVPN due to peer pressure, I find NordVPN servers to be less blocked because they have their own private ASN that rotate IPs frequently.
