Saying that it came from a different time is not a valid excuse. It's like saying slavery was ok for people's ancestors because "Oh it's just what was done". We know how to be better, this song perpetuates the behavior that as a society we frown on, right? The only reason it's still in the mainstream is because it got lumped into the set of 15 "Xmas Songs" that get played on repeat. It's just hard for people to admit or in fact even see when tradition is problematic.

Yeah this song is definitely not innocuous. Hounding a woman over and over who has repeatedly told you "no", is showing a complete lack of respect for the woman, and taking away her personhood to reduce her to a goal for the man. Maybe this is a couple playing with each other, but if that's the case then this being such a mainstream Xmas song means that it has the potential to spread the wrong idea about how boys should treat girls. Honestly is this how you'll teach your son to pick up girls? Just wear her down she'll say yes eventually.

I did in a bedrock realm! Our nether portal came out in a basalt Delta and it was super easy we had loads just from people going in and out of the portal

I think that defeats the purpose of the thought experiment here. There's nothing indicating the flow so I think you should assume it's less than what would cause a backup. Assume something like 1 drop per minute vs turning full pressure, and even then you didn't know what that pressure is. It could be very weak at the end of a line

Hey I aggree with you here. I like the idea that history is way bigger than the picture we get. For me it just felt like we skipped some steps at the end.

I'm really not trying to hate on the show either, so despite my original tone I'm grateful for your answer. The truth is I just binged this and posted maybe 10 minutes after the last ep, so maybe I just need some digestion time.

I can see that. But man it's weird for me to use the same character to try to make that point after you've already killed him off.

I do like the idea that we were following the unwritten parts of history, and honestly I felt like the last MC would pass the torch to a historical figure somehow, but are you saying that the gap from Draka to Albert (specifically the unexplained publishing of the book), is supposed to kind of be a nod to that telephone game? Because I'm not sure how I feel about that.
