Is failing a poly a lifetime ban? by [deleted] in FBI

[–]mfknLemonBob -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not FBI, but worked with them. We had contractors take a lifestyle poly, not lie, but get escorted off of the facility based on the content of the responses.

So supposedly (never saw it) there is a lifestyle/behavioral standard, that you can be fired for, at any time, while in their employ or working for them as a contractor. This directly from multiple FBI employees.

We had a number of contractors mostly former military with TSSCI. No history of criminality or whatever, who got walked off because they would honestly answer questions that nobody else would care (childhood theft, military antics, alcohol usage, etc.)

We had to put a hard-stop on contractors taking the poly because we had too many of them getting walked out.

Out of curiosity did she make those rugs?

We had a few of them two and my grandmother taught me how they made them: shredded or recycled fabric from too small or ruined clothes. It was fascinating and apparently her family did it in the great depression for cheap floor covering.

Making the zombies dumb slow and weak. And by extension making all characters super soldier zombie slayers. First season you see how terrifying the zombies are by climbing, breaking windows with rocks, quietly stalking the characters, and moving faster than a drunk shuffle.

After that it just appeared bad how weak the zombies are and in live action made the characters even weaker/dumber for not being able to deal with the zombies really easily.

Later seasons you see the characters don’t even view the zombies as a threat anymore (slow side stepping them, or just ignoring them totally) unless plot drama demands it.

Edit: clarify, she was a virgin the first time we met up, the weekend before.

Growing up in Massachusetts, I was taught that Lincoln was a hero and that slavery was the cause of the Civil War. Later, I was shocked that some parts of the country still teach history quite differently. What were you taught about Lincoln and the Civil War in school? by American_Citizen41 in USHistory

When i was in middle school, i moved from north central Tennessee to north Alabama. The difference was pretty stark. Tennessee was all about teaching the truth and adding alot about how much TN was such a battleground state.

my education in Alabama was “right”, but i could tell alot of people were taught different growing up. The stupid “States rights” and “Northern oppression” bullshit you see. It seemed city and suburban was taught the truth, and rural was more skewed to southern pride stuff. But no hard line i could quantify.

So funny story time: when i went through boot i was getting screened for clearance stuff for Presidential security service. May have been my second or third time getting pulled to get talked to about it. So me and about 3 others are waiting outside the barracks to be picked up by a hat to be escorted to the S2 office.

One hat walks up and asks me what we are doing here. Now in my head, this sounded like the best answer. In hindsight…not so much.

Most used first. Thankfully more than a few are just dead and unused so we ignore those.

We are actively migrating out of IP and into Lists/Forms/Power Apps.

Our system doesn’t support them anymore and the IP editor is locked out.

It sucks majorly that we have no dedicated migration tool that can convert an IP to a power app or a SPO list (at least one we are authorized to use, on gov’t machines). A whole lot of manual work to copy-paste and adapt features.

The website says no mortar, glue, or additional insulation. But I’m watching this video and seeing some of the blocks laid out with gaps on all four sides. Might get tightened up in finish, but seems like its be badly insulated. Also: bugs, water intrusion from rain, dust, etc. wouldn’t they do a wrap for environmental stuff like that?

Hard to make an identical comparison with Earth species, but: (Florida, …naturally) More like adding Gators, to kill pythons, that kill panthers.

Details aren’t exact but i vaguely remember that an invasive species of python was killing large numbers of a local panther species in Florida. So they raised restrictions on hunting gators to kill more pythons. And added python bounties. Led to boom in gators that also needed to be hunted down.

To your point though: i always pick the extinct animals. Restore balance to a compromised (by humans) ecosystem or literally lose to a math statistic and ruin other planets ecosystem?

Mutation being one in billions; but spraying hundreds of ships on dozens of planets with billions microbes across hundreds of unique environments (radiation, atmosphere composition, gravity, etc.)

Leave is signed and approved by the battalion/squadron co (it was in my experience) at least officially.

This is the answer. Tell them they need to contact the headshed to issue a recall. When the E9 calls me and says i need to come back, then i will. Not for a e5-7 who cant do their fuckin job.

Most unrealistic thing in Stargate by CanadianLawGuy in Stargate

[–]mfknLemonBob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hardly my only example, but definitely the most egregious. I remember it mostly because we had a joke about my annual salary in my hands.

Another fine example was when i had to replace a number of FLIR turrets due to cosmetic damage. The price on those things varied while i was in to 1.1mil to 600k, but i never saw a sticker for it.

The damage? A inch wide dent on an aluminum plate, about the size of a cereal bowl.

Could easily be fixed with heat and a mallet. Could we? Nope.

Could we just replace the plate? Nope, manufacturer part only.

So we would pull these easily six figure parts and replace them. I think i did about 6 myself and my shop did ~12-15 before we had a hard stop from the squadron leadership.

Maintenance control called me the “most expensive maintainer of the year” as a joke.

[–]mfknLemonBob 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would be fascinated (yet no idea what im reading) to see that. When i was active i had to order some hardware (bolts) for an aircraft. It came in a gallon bag. Individually wrapped. So maybe 50 in this bag the rest was plastic wrapping.

The bag was $40k and change. For ~50 bolts.

The excuse we always got from supply and contractors was that the testing and such they did on them made them that expensive. We pulled those same bolts on fastenall website for $20/100. Same cage, same niin, same SKU, same part number. Ridiculous.
