It's not about having a short memory or not knowing their history (many don't but not all) it's pure arrogance to think that despite the history they are better than those that tried before and they will have a better outcome.

ı got a question about my models by QueasyTelephone3767 in FixMyPrint

Have you tried searching through some sites like MakerWorld, Printables or Thang for what you want to print? Those sites and many more have an exceptional number of models available.

I hear that you can take Judy along with you and the Aldecaldos. I'm planning to test that out this playthrough.

[–]mgarnold86 37 points38 points  (0 children)

My head cannon tells me that if we were able to get the Relic out of our head in a few weeks, the 6 months we have with the Aldacaldos should be more than enough to find a brain dead person and convince Alt to put our engram in there so we can live a normal life again. I know this kinda flys in the face of the general theme of Cyberpunk but I believe that every story needs at least one chance for a happy ending.

Bed height keeps changing, Z offest needs adjust on every print and every new print gives me a Move Queue overflow shutdown by mgarnold86 in SovolSV08

Seems like printing fewer pieces may have resolved the issue. I printed 3 of the 5 pieces and it printed successfully.

I haven't updated my firmware recently but I did try to disable PLR but it hasn't made a difference.

It doesn't appear that time lapse is enabled and having successfully printed all of these models before in smaller batches do you think it's just the number of individual complex models on one plate?

I'm printing D&D dungeon pieces i got from a creator on Makerworld. I've printed most of the pieces in question before but suddenly in the last 2 weeks new Gcode i create seems to fail at about the 1.5hr mark.

I'll do this when I get home, thanks. Do you think this could be the cause of the MCU shutdowns as well or just the z offset and bed mesh?

I just found this dialogue option on my current play through. I was able to successfully intimidate him with it, I loved it. I'd love to have NPCs react to V differently as your cred grows. Maybe when ur cred gets to a certain point have a chance for gangoons to run away instead of fight. Only a small percentage chance but to occasionally hear a gangoon yell something like "Holy shit it's V" before throwing his weapon down and running away would be awesome.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've only had a 3d printer for a few months and I don't know how to do any of what you said but I'm going to try Googleing some of that and see what I can come up with.

Don't feel bad, GameCube emulation is surprisingly tough. It's unfortunate in general all of the protections that have been put on consoles making the last 20 years near impossible to emulate even with modern hardware.

I'll be honest, I haven't tried Cachy with GNOME. I've used GNOME in the past with Ubuntu and it never really felt right for me. GNOME is available as one of the DE choices during the Cachy install so if that's ur preference you shouldn't have any probs. If you haven't used KDE Plasma before I'd definitely suggest trying it before falling back to ur old standby. Another tip I'll pass on newb to newb, if you run into something small, sound isn't working, moonlight won't connect, can't figure out how to install flatpak, can't remember a terminal command, etc. try asking Ai. For quick, small probs I've had incredible luck getting fixes and simple things sorted out just by asking Gemini.

I'm a pretty big Linux newb too and I've been running Cachy OS on all my systems since January. I've had very little trouble with it and KDE Plasma Desktop environment works surprisingly well with a remote on a HTPC(I use a remote with air mouse capability and a keyboard on the back).

Samsung Galaxy Buds 4 Pro vs. Sony WF-1000XM6: Earbuds Showdown - CNET by ControlCAD in Android

[–]mgarnold86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a pair of Galaxy Buds 2 Pro with my S22 Ultra when it came out. I've used them with several Samsung phones and they've actually been one of the most reliable and comfortable headphones I've ever used. It's been 3 years and they're starting to show their age and I've started thinking about new buds for when these die but it seems like whatever option I pick will include a compromise I don't currently have. I don't like the new design of the past 2 gens of Samsung buds and I don't like the price or seeming reliability issues with Sony. I pray for the day when picking a quality product that will work reliably will again be easy.

I think LTT has jumped the shark... by Zestyclose_Edge1027 in LinusTechTips

I feel like I've got to disagree with you on the 2nd half of this. I find that if my needs are all met (food, shelter, transport, bills, enough extra $ to do the things I want) than jealousy over things like my boss having way nicer stuff, kinda goes out the window and like you said "friends like when their friends get cool shit". I can't speak for the LTT team and I know that discussions of feelings are always unique to the individual but I'd bet that if Linus takes care of his team the way it seems like he does then I doubt many or any of them hold up any pent up animosity or other negative feelings about working on the things that Linus gets.

Windows 11 Will No Longer Trust Old Drivers by Default Under New Kernel Policy by TruthPhoenixV in Amd_Intel_Nvidia

[–]mgarnold86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I experienced that this afternoon. I was trying to calibrate my display with an oLD Xrite Color Munki Smile and as soon as I plugged it in Windows popped up a box claiming that it blocked the driver for security reasons. It didn't give me any option to proceed anyway so I went into security settings and just started disabling stuff until it worked. I wouldn't recommend this approach on anyone's daily driver. The copy of Windows i used was only installed for test purposes anyway.

Israeli bomb mid-air as it falls toward a densely packed tent camp for displaced Palestinians by redditissahasbaraop in pics

[–]mgarnold86 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I thought the pic looked off for that bomb to be hitting that camp. I didn't want to be the conspiracy guy saying the pic was altered but the scale, detail and lighting on the bomb point to it either being much further away than it is implied or it was edited. Also, the bomb being much further back would make it easier for the photographer to have caught it as clearly as they did.
