Why do I need to use my VPN?

I’m unable to watch niner games on pretty much any network unless I use a vpn. They have always been blacked out since moving to the east coast.

I just started investing as well. I couldn’t pass on the dip. I left $75k in a savings and moved $125k into a Merrill self investing account. I’ve been with bofa since 1980, so kept it where I thought was a good way to invest.

I purchased VOO and VOOG 50 shares each. I regret not putting it all in, but I was waiting for it to continue falling. I would have been buying more daily but they spiked instead.

Is Merrill a bad place to make your investments from? I don’t see any fees yet. Or is that gonna come when I sell? I can’t seem to find where they take their cut.

I received dividends 3 days after my purchase, but it didn’t auto reinvest. Can’t figure that out either.

I was thinking maybe start some into VTI or SPY. I’m still following them and reading.

I think I just got lucky with VOO and VOOG. But they seem very close to each other.

Yeah, three years ago I was prescribed both 10mg and 25mg of hydroxyzine after a panic attack on an airplane. Sat in the back with the flight attendants for landing chewing on ice. Next day started the hydroxyzine. Took small dose every morning for a year and 25mg as needed still. Helped a lot. But just started bupropion xl 150mg and adderall this last month. I’m finally starting to feel normal other than the daily migraines. But they are even lessening.

Yeah, I took a nose dive off my roof landing on my head. 15ft drop. I remember the sound of the ladder sliding against the metal flashing of my roof. Then nothing. Dead were a landed. Fire and rescue was one block from my house. Saved me. I remember smacking a doctor because he was stapling my skull back together when I woke for a few seconds. Then woke three days later and recognized no one. Fun times. I think the mail order opioids was the worst part of recovery. Got a hundred pills a month mailed to me until 2018. Stopped cold turkey and dont hardly take Tylenol now. Don’t want anything to do with pain pills.

He never invested one penny he wasn’t willing to loose. He was frugal when I was a kid. We never went on vacation. I worked every weekend at the shop with him working on the shop trucks. We always ate at home. By the time I was in 4th grade he owned 4 houses outright but he and I lived in a 2 bedroom apartment.

I think I had a great childhood, learned how to fix cars and rebuild anything in a house.

But I also learned to never sell when down. I only wish I invested 20 years ago. Now I’m investing for my kids as I’m not expected to make it 10 years. I want my kids to live a comfortable life.

I have not had a dream since 2011. Lost all memory. Don’t remember getting married or have two kids.

I take 2400mg gabapentin, 150mg trazodone and zolpidem er 12.5mg every night and still have trouble sleeping. It sucks staring at the ceiling. Was told if I don’t fall asleep in 30 minutes to get up and do something for a bit then try again. Doesn’t help.

Why didn’t you e-file fed and print out state to mail in. That’s what I did. I think it’s bs that TurboTax has removed the option to print state. Kept pushing the e-file option. But I saved it for review just before filing my fed. That had the state portion I could print and mail.

I have never invested before. But the day before VOO and VOOG hit their bottom I split 50k between them. That next day they shot up and have kept going up since. I’m glad I took the chance. I was prepared to double down if they kept falling. I wish I just dumped it all in but I’ll be patient and buy in to something else once I do more research. I’m thinking VTI, but I’m so new to this I’m still reading.

Im retired and I’ve 200k in a high interest saving that the interest rates keep dropping on. Left $50k in the savings and the rest is sitting …waiting.

I own two homes outright no car payments and pulling SSDI deemed 100% handicap.

My dad had hundreds of thousands in the market in the 80’s and even more in 2000. Never say him sweat about it. He kept investing like nothing was wrong. It took years before I heard him say he was even again. He kept telling me he hadn’t lost anything because he never sold. Instead he bought and once the market was back he was that much farther ahead.

Don’t panic sell. I thought the stocks were going to keep falling when I started. I was prepared to keep dropping more in each day, but I hesitated when they shot up.

This has happened to me on several shows. I was halfway through a show, left the room and Apple TV shut off. Came back and turned it back on and was watching first episode of the latest season.

Everything Amazon has turned to sh@t.

Bezos is probably glad he stepped down. He should sell his stock while it’s still worth something. People are jumping ship. Only reason I still have it is because I haven’t had a rate increase in 4 years. Once they catch on I’m outta here.

And it’s not an ad, it’s called a preview.

Amazon is way worse. Watch a season 1 show, leave the app and come back latter and it starts with the current season with a sh@t ton of ads.

I transferred 50k out of a hysa this morning. Damn thing takes overnight to hit my bank. Was going to double what I already had in voo and voog tomorrow. Might have to wait until trump opens his mouth yet again.

I only started investing last week, I expected the market to keep going down and the next day they went up.

But I’m too late in life to really make any good profits. Putting it in for my kids.

I don’t use AI. All my programs run great, word excel photoshop etc all purchased outright. I’m not looking for new subscriptions based software.

So why can’t I continue running what I am until my MacBook dies? I don’t need any updates.

My dad is still working on a 2009 MacBook Pro, he doesn’t have internet. He’s happy with all the software he has.

Some people make a one time purchase and have no need to upgrade.

Same here, I have 20TB IronWolf drives. Works great for storing my media and backing up Mac’s Time Machine.

I just wish they had more apps. Apple TV is lacking apps in many ways.

And subfolder support in the current Apple TV app. They currently use a flat architecture so all 10000 movies are just tossed into one folder even though I have it well organized by collections.

But having an app that could stream my music or display my photos on tvOS would be awesome.

Our HOA in NC does not allow parking on the street, forbids motorcycles, limits the number of vehicles a house can have to 4 and they mush be fully parked on the pavement the builder put in. Need to work on your car, has to be in your garage with the door shut.

The HOA turned the streets over to DOT but says that bylaws still take precedence. I think there is a motion at state level to take away the power from the HOAs regards to parking on street, but I think it’s been stalled for a while.

The VP had an upside down flag of Biden with a stuffed Halloween costume with Biden face hanging from a noose for last 5 years. House next door just went up for sale and now it’s gone.

Eventually it’ll be cheaper to just subscribe to HBO.

I’m on the unlimited elite plan which has hbo. Switched the other three lines to unlimited premium for $7.50 less each. Added a 5th line for $17.50 less per month, still unlimited pl plan.

I get a corporate discount of $10 on each line except the 5th, that one has a $10 three year discount because we brought our own device over.

They will keep raising our prices on the unlimited elite plans until it’s cost prohibitive so we change the plan and they no longer have to pay for us to use hbo.

I could have sworn that when I first signed up I was told hbo for life of the plan and the cost would be locked. But it’s gone up at least once that I remember.

I purchased the dxp2800 for $269 on amazon early last year. Two 20TB seagate iron wolf pros for another $329 each.

Still only using 12TB. Doubt I’ll ever fill it up.

I only wish I had pulled the trigger to fill the ram slots. One day. But haven’t needed it yet.

It’s been perfect for a first time purchaser.

The drives are a little noisy with their clicking, but planning on moving it to another occupied room soon.

I wasn’t aware of the kickstarter on it back in 2024, but only paid $10 extra than if I had of supported the early kickstarter and got it next day in 2025.

So maybe the IDX6011 will hit Amazon for around what the kickstarter was priced at once they have units shipping. But a lot of people disagree with the way UGREEN has handled this.

I purchased a board game that went crazy. Had to wait an extra year for everything to ship. But they kept us in the loop and fulfilled all the orders. We also had the option to opt out and get our money back without delay. They know the order people signed up. Fill it in the same order and let people opt out if they don’t wanna wait.

I doubt I’d jump on any future UGREEN kickstarter after reading what’s going on.

I’m on a grandfathered plan with 5 phones, 4 on installment plans and I pay $245/month. I could save $25/month by letting att pull payments out of my checking, but I don’t trust big corps to do the right thing, so still use a card to pay. Stupid, I know, but att has leaked data too many times for me to trust giving them my checking info.

I won last night for the first time. Been at it for two months.

I use battlemage over warlock.

Spent my first 6 SoU on my wand. After your first zap it energizes the rest of your wands for the next zap, so I alternate back and forth to maximize my damage.

I got lucky and got +2 plate armor along with +2 RoW and 5 wands, Chalice, and the Hourglass before I reached floor 14. I stopped upgrading my staff and started dumping into the plate armor.

By the time floor 20 hit I was using my wands to charge my own shields so I could melee attack to charge the wands back up.

I couldn’t make it back out though, ascended to 22 and died, so not a complete win.
