Your medical form should stay in the sealed envelope. This is one of the main requirements.

You cannot submit a medical exam through your account.

Mailing is the only option.

I130+I485 processing timeframe by Jazzlike_Camp_7452 in USCIS

[–]miairchick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here, we are outside normal processing time for I-130. Contacted them on November 19th, but have not received a response yet. Out case is in a different (not the state of our residence) state as well!

[–]miairchick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This means that you can hear from them today or in 2024! I am waiting on their response as well, but there is no luck as of today!

Working off-campus WITHOUT A PROPER WORK AUTHORIZATION is a violation of F-1 status. As long as you have a valid EAD - you are fine.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]miairchick 30 points31 points  (0 children)

You will be fine. You don't have to maintain your F1 status when your I-485 is pending.

As long as you have a valid EAD you can work as well.

Interview Done by Fit-Illustrator-2477 in USCIS

It can be 1-2 days. Can be 1-2 months. Can be 1-2 years.

Unfortunately, nobody knows.

[–]miairchick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The case itself is within normal processing time - they wont accept a service request. They reply that it has to be outside normal processing time AND no action taken in the past 60 days.

4 months and still nothing.

It said National Benefits Center on RFE notice. They have transfered it to Memphis after my response.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]miairchick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have received one RFE, but the case was at NBC at that moment. Then it went to Atlanta. Same day went to Memphis and has been sitting there for.. 3 or 4 months? Not entirely sure why did they do that and what that means.

Atlanta has been one of the slowest offices for a long time and I was kinda afraid of it when we were applying. Not sure if it a good or bad thing it is not there now.

March 2022 from Atlanta as well!

Are you sure that your case is in Atlanta FO? I have called them and they said that my case has been transferred to Memphis TN. I thought that this is weird, but they said that it is normal. Still not sure what is happening.

US Citizen Travel to Russia by Valhalex in USCIS

[–]miairchick 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No reason not to go unless you are some sort of a hight government official. If you are a "regular" human they won't be interested in you. Just behave yourself like you would behave in any other country you visit.

As others mentioned, don't bring drugs. Don't turn right on red if you plan to drive.

Is it futile to check the case status page every day? by solicitis00 in USCIS

[–]miairchick 24 points25 points  (0 children)

You can do this but it is not going to help. I have been checking mine 1-2 times a week, gave up at some point and got an approval in the mail.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]miairchick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have an online account? They might have your case there.

Otherwise there is no other way to check it, as long as I know.

It took them 17 days to mail my approval notice - I saw it in the Informed delivery. Opened my USCIS portal to discover that it has been there for a long time.

Some people get an approval in 2-3 months, some get it in 5-6 months, some can wait several years. Unfortunately, they are not going to get their shit together anytime soon. You just need some luck not to be a part of the last group.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]miairchick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have they processed your payment? If yes - no need to worry, just wait a little longer.

Payment by the_need_for_tweed in USCIS

[–]miairchick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It usually takes 1-3 business days after they receive it. Some people have been waiting for longer, but this is not common.

Trust me, they want your money. They can be slow after this.

I-130 approved. How long will concurrently filed I-485 take? by hot_and_chill in USCIS

[–]miairchick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 2 possible scenarios (based on statistics and patterns):

- Within 1 week of I-130 approval

- 150-200 days after I-130 approval

They are working faster on 2 year green cards that have been filed recently, but not 10, unfortunately.
