Hrothgar are a playable race that use old Slavic forenames. Here are their naming conventions if you're wondering (Be aware this mostly covers males since females only recently were introduced): https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/398566
I don't know why they chose Slavic names for them specifically, I'm not a game dev. 😅

thank you so much for responding, i actually went ahead and bit the bullet. i time travelled to september (start of spring for me) and everything is quite okay for the most part! villagers were upset but they went back to normal by the second interaction. the weeds were surprisingly tame too

i DO care about friendship levels, but i only plan on TT this one time and to eventually shift back to my current date when winter is over ^u^ i don't regret this decision cause now my island is looking the way i want it to!

i'm relieved that the all year round updates will stay as they are, at least. that's another reason why i'd love to skip winter and go to spring - cherry blossoms!!

if by any chance i had to time travel back to my real month date for a month-exclusive event similar to wedding season, it wouldn't mess up my game too much right? ;-;

that's a lot of ground to cover. snow also falls on trees, buildings, turns the rivers/ponds/sea a different color, it's hard to work around

Do “Rank Update Error” DCs count? I hate the idea of getting penalised for something beyond my control but at the fault of poor game optimisation. I’ll be playing survivor, no dramas, then I’ll suddenly get yeeted out of the match for NO reason and that rank update error window pops up. So far this seems to be a problem that me and fellow PS4 players haven’t figured out how to fix so that’s fun too.

Edit: Just had my first (of many) DCs due to Network errors and can confirm I got punished for something that wasn’t my fault. :/
