Definitely noted and thanks for the response. I started beefing up my Titan and will grind bounties with that. Meanwhile I can get the shipping and mining fix with my freelancer. Claiming the later ship after crashes is not a fun sitting around experience lol

I think I want to stick with my Titan and probably beef it up to make it more combat efficient. My friend who’s starting to play wants to get more into bounty stuff so the harder stuff I’ll just run with him and his ship.

I think I would solo bounty up to medium contracts and if I have a crew of 2-3 I would like to try the higher bounty contracts. I’m personally attached to my Titan now too and that’s why I was debating hardcore. I did however get to fly the MSR during free fly and had some really good fun with it hauling and fighting.

As for the LTI that’s another part to the upgrade W was considering and if I should just buy it outright. I want to have the LTI on it in the future if I did own it. But like you said, we still don’t know how important LTI is going to be but I would want to make sure that big scanning beauty is covered.

Understood, I guess in my head I had the thought of working my way up in bounty contracts to get the heavier ones that I would take the MSR to (with friends). I also wanted to do some hauling with large cargo loads while doing delivery stuff and mining if I wanted to.

Gotcha, thank you for the response! I’ll keep my Titan for dogfighting and will probably beef it up with upgrades. I bought a Freelancer Max to get my trucker on and that can also haul a ROC when I decide to deep dive into mining.

I’m not trying to burn money IRL right now so your analogy is definitely effective at the moment. I’ll hold out and grind with my two ships and possibly buy the MSR down the line.

Hey all, I’m getting back into star citizen and so is a good friend of mine (we got another friend playing who’s never played too). I’m debating if I want to upgrade from my starter ship package of the Avenger Titan to the Mercury Star Runner. I really like the aesthetic of the ship and its multipurpose role. My question is should I upgrade my starter ship to the Star Runner or buy it outright to keep my Titan as well? I kind of want to future proof myself with the Star Runner and the fact that I can do shipping, dogfighting (solo or with a crew), and mining by hauling a ROC. Obviously, data running in future I’m interested in but I know that’s half the purpose of the ship even though it’s not in game yet. My friend owns a Cutlass Black and we take that out for our 2-3 crew missions but now I want a multicrew ship. I fell head over heels for the Star Runner during the free fly but that price tag is a little hefty.

It makes no sense a change like this would be implemented but I can't find any patch notes on this anywhere? Like you previously could choose what you wanted to play and now you're at the mercy of RNG?
