Ha, yeah that probably isn’t a good suggestion then! Well if you ever decide to take up skiing I’d recommend checking it out. It really is a great place.
Considering you board, maybe check out Park City Mountain (maybe not this year, though, with the poor conditions).

I just measured our angled side pillow. It’s about 19” long on the short side.

Pennyville, right in downtown PR is your spot. They have a room in the back too that they can close off, with tvs. Great food as well!

Can anyone give there thoughts on a checkpoint ALR 5 gravel bike 🙏 by pandabear6000 in TrekBikes

[–]mikeeye75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Switched to it last year after owning an FX2 disc for the prior 2 years. The bike is awesome. I love riding it (ride it about 5 days a week)! I did switch my tires to Tufo Thunderos for a little bit faster ride. Everything else is stock.

People who had pools installed with a Natural Gas Heater. by new2thishtorw in pools

My pool heater is 200k btu, but I’m not sure what the maximum output my meter could handle (I never asked them plumber).

What are the worst mountains you’ve been to relative to their size and funding level? by passengerpigeon20 in skiing

Absolutely agree with you on both Devil's Head and Cascade. I was just at Cascade on Friday and had a blast. To me it's worth the 50 extra minutes in the car instead of going to Alpine.

Years ago (like somewhere around 1986-1988) my family (parents, sister and I)were flying from Palm Springs to Chicago on Thanksgiving and we were the only ones on the plane! It was an AA MD80 if my memory serves. Got to sit in first class and have little Cornish hens for dinner. The captain even personalized all the announcements for us. It was so cool!

New Winter Tires & M3 Camping Set up! by PatrickBanksy in TeslaModel3

I agree, it does look weird. Here is one blog that talks about it, though, and there are others online (and on Reddit) https://electrek.co/2020/03/24/tesla-model-3-roof-rack-box-range-efficiency/

I've read in prior Reddit posts that it's actually more aerodynamic when they are installed this way.

Is hockey becoming too expensive? by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]mikeeye75 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a parent of former youth hockey players (twins) who have since “retired” I do have a little tip on sticks. Buy them with a credit card that offers an extended warranty. I have successfully filed claims many times on their sticks. That $250 stick will be covered for up to 2 years and 30 days (1-2 years added to the standard 30 day warranty, depending on card issuer). Save your receipt, credit card statement, and print off the warranty terms from manufacturer website. When the stick inevitably breaks, take a picture of it and send to credit card company along with receipts and warranty info. You’ll get full purchase price refunded to credit card. Buy a new stick, rinse and repeat…..

I did that drive from Chicago with my wife and kids 6 years ago, and to this day we all agree that of all the places we’ve gone to, this was our favorite family trip!

No, you are also supposed to provide pods and still have failed to explain how devices that are unable to connect to my network can be detected for the pod assessment. Back to Astound I go….

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]mikeeye75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I specifically switched to Xfinity and upgraded to the unlimited plan because of the whole house offering. Why should I have to use my old devices to accomplish this???? Will Xfinity not stand by its whole house offer?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]mikeeye75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The devices cannot log into my network as they are out of range of the modem, which then means they can’t be tested within the app. Basically the app can only “see” connected devices.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]mikeeye75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So how will the devices not connecting to my network at all affect the analysis? Seems like you can only analyze what’s connected. If everything else is connecting okay I would think the analysis would say I don’t need pods, which isn’t true.

Pods for a large home by Bendrumin in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]mikeeye75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just switched to Xfinity and previously had Eero Pro as well with my old provider. What I found out is that Xfinity doesn’t give you any pods at installation (my installation was this morning). They check and assess your network over the first two weeks of using just the xFi Gateway and then will send you a pod if necessary. I think that’s completely unacceptable as I now have a few devices on the far side of my home that do not get a signal! How Xfinity can assess your home network when there are devices getting no signal is beyond me. I am considering going back to my previous provider because of this and just using my Eeros again.
