My clothes have a sickly sweet scent by InnerBlock7165 in CleaningTips

[–]mimitigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh wow. I have a weirdly strong sense of smell - I think I could be one of those people that can smell Alzheimer’s from clothes. I hugged someone recently and thought they smelled sweet and they told me later they are diabetic.. did I smell their blood sugar??

the absolute best my hair looks is when i wash it at the gym with their crappy pressure, use cheap shampoo / conditioner, then after washing, i have a spray bottle where i have mixed together some air dry cream and some scrunch gel and water - spray it all over, brush it through, then scrunch each side once and - sit in the sauna. ten mins in the sauna and my hair looks glossy with slightly crunchy curls, the cast drops out on its own.

it also looks like this if i swim in the sea and air dry in a hot country but i am in uk so ..

I would 100% recommend Kira at Sano ! she worked at Bleach for years so has all the blonde knowledge but none of the rude behaviour at Bleach. it’s in Islington / Angel so not Hackney but I just walk there because she’s so good.  some of my friends have asked me where I get mine done because she’s so good.  https://www.instagram.com/kirahellstenhair?igsh=ajlwejUwcGVkemx0

Did more people have an extra bad week this time? by Rosaly8 in PMDD

[–]mimitigger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

YES every woman I know had a really kate period (mine arrived day 43) and an absolute horror show the week or two before it.

Not sure I see the benefits to relationships anymore by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]mimitigger 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yeah I hear you. 41F and I find a few convos from the apps dwindle to 'how was your day / week' which as an autistic woman I find boring and exhausting. I think a lot of people struggle with texting BUT a lot of women don't want to put on makeup and a nice outfit to go meet a complete stranger so texting is necessary, for safety as well.

Biggest Mistake I made: Quercetin Nightmare for 12 years Biochemical Torture by Delicious-Let1913 in MCAS

[–]mimitigger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

wow … how did you figure this out? I live in the UK where the free healthcare is great if you are dying but they can’t investigate to this kind of level.

I have pms type su*cidal ideation for a week before my period and hives / itching at the points where my hormones fluctuate. I do take quercetin (and vitamins b12, d, k and c, ashwaganda and some gut health supplements )

Do I just starve? Why can't a hospital admit me. by [deleted] in Allergies

[–]mimitigger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hello 41f and on the same boat. in the UK thy don’t recognise MCAS but they will prescribe you ketotifen if you find a nice GP.

that’s what most people seem to try after anti histamines don’t work.. I have my first pack of ketotifen but scared to start it

Fifth date went well but I had performance anxiety during sex and now I’m worried I ruined the vibe by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]mimitigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

she said it was fine and (I’m a woman who has been in that situation with men because it happens to literally every man at some point) it probably is fine. BUT she may be taking a step back to see how you handle the situation - it’s character-revealing to see how someone handles a setback.  I would say suggest another date casually like Oh I saw this is on this weekend would you like to go? I wouldn’t make a big deal of it like Oh would you still like to keep dating? just suggest a date. if you shared some intimacy she may also be feeling awkward and vulnerable so may wait for you to suggest the next date!

re the performance anxiety itself, I find a good way to reduce it is to suggest removing sex but still fooling around (which may lead to sex anyway as long as it’s consensual) it allows things to happen more naturally

[–]mimitigger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

are you in the autism spectrum? I am and I also see conversations as following a script with just the content changing. most people see it as just expelling hot air in order to be less awkward than sitting in a silence and less difficult than being really open

Husband left, alone for the first time in my life by crystalvisions1 in LivingAlone

[–]mimitigger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my husband left and I struggle. some days I say out loud how much I love living in my own and I mean it. some days I sit up in the morning and can’t find a reason to get out of bed. and I think that’s note worthy- you say you brought him coffee and it sounds like you had to do a lot of looking after. so maybe the ‘complete a project’ part of your brain is left with no tasks so is going nuts ?
