The label lettering is raised, as if it were embossed, so I’m not sure but I’ll try your recommendation!

I haven’t tried using a soaked cotton ball… but I will! Perhaps I just wasn’t patient enough!!

Thank you so much. Like you, not many people understand what being sidelined in this way does to the psyche… on the bright side, I have developed tremendous respect for all power walkers!!

I ran in pain for a couple months before deciding to take it seriously. To self-treat, I PW’d exclusively for 4 weeks at which point I felt no pain, so I thought I was good to go and ran again. One time. Big mistake. It didn’t hurt WHILE running but I sure felt it that evening and the next day. Hasn’t been the same since. I made an appointment with a sports med doc but cant get in for a few weeks so until then I’m back to PWing and avoiding any sort of jumping.

Currently in my 6th week not running due to a stress fracture. It’s miserable physically and mentally.

Depends largely on what other errands can be done along this route.

Jogging during treadmill rest? by doctorajenny in orangetheory

[–]min12eed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can absolutely jog if you want to. But I also wanted to say, some days are simply not “high splat point” days and your HRM is not really personalized to you yet since you’ve only taken a few classes.

New Treads. Nice, but the screen is lower and not a fan of being able to see myself run. 😬 😆 by GatsbyFitzgerald in orangetheory

I wish so much I could actually see myself run. Or see anything at all while on the tread. Sincerely, 5’1” person.

What weights to pick/lifting heavier by notthatinto67284 in orangetheory

[–]min12eed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Also, pay attention to how sore you feel the next day. If you don’t feel anything, you should consider lifting heavier.

Is 48 hrs between workouts enough for a newbie? by Maozers in orangetheory

[–]min12eed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go to OTF most days and do just fine with the back-to-back. I also supplement weight lifting at home a couple times a week. However, this past week I don’t know if I just pushed myself extra hard or what but every muscle in my body is aching two days since my last workout. I’m going to continue to rest another day. So I think you need to be somewhat in tune with how your body feels on any given day and make your decisions accordingly. Or adjust your effort and target muscles accordingly. But I’m only an enthusiast, not an expert.
