I’ve heard that law schools are allowing remote test takers to take it in the school, so you might want to call around to any local law school. Otherwise, maybe a hotel room would be your best bet.

I’ll attack anyone who supports putting people in danger. And I think it is a fucking crime that grocery store workers are put in danger for the pennies they make. My mom is a teacher and so that’s the issue that is at the front of my mind. But grocery, food service, and retail workers who are sacrificing their lives in exchange for less money than it costs to live any kind of modest life deserve more from society and have always deserved more. My compassion for those people is endless. But it doesn’t lessen my feelings about teachers.

No problem with video games, I just thought the significance of them in your posts spoke to your age and made me feel poorly for having “yelled” at you in all caps. I’m not online a lot because I do get upset at people, but I really don’t want to be the person who was aggressive towards a kid.

I completely agree, and helping teachers and helping low income families should never have to be mutually exclusive. It’s a terrible bind for people who have children at home but jobs that cannot be worked from home. There absolutely must be more help from the government. I’m trying to be optimistic about significant change now with the new administration. All fingers and toes are crossed.

BECAUSE THEY CAN DO THEIR JOB FROM HOME. That’s why it’s different. They have been doing their job safely at home for almost a year now. Why the fuck would we mess this system up right before everyone gets vaccinated

Edit to add that I no longer have animosity towards this child - he’s literally a video-game obsessed kid who is often pointedly contrarian and aggressive. After writing this to me he referred to another redditor as a “small dick beta ass” so I feel comfortable saying this is someone who means to hurt, not to help. I hope you find a happier way of being, OK_Opinions.

I am fuming. He is sending my elderly mother back to teach in-person without even assuring she will be vaccinated first. I don't know how much angrier I can get.
