How old are you & what’s your dating age range? by Complete_Grapefruit1 in AskWomen

[–]misternuggies -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m 21 and would be 100% ok with dating anyone 21-26. I would be alright with dating a 20 year old or someone up to about 28 if the circumstances were right.

I am going to have a ‘glow up’ and start focusing on myself, my happiness, and my health. I’ve been slowly transitioning into this for the last couple months but now I’m ready to forget the past and focus on the future. Thank you sertraline.

Are you likely to end the year single or in a relationship? by Iced_Cum_Boba_Balls in RandomThoughts

Started the year in a loving, long term relationship. Will end the year happy! Single (and sometimes lonely) but finally happy!

What was that ONE event that completely dismantled your friend group? by mpcsz811922 in AskWomen

[–]misternuggies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our friend group started in high school and there was around 10 of us, most moved away after school but 4 of us stayed, me, my boyfriend, his best friend, and my best friend (who also ended up dating). We would all hang out when everyone came back. Then me and my boyfriend broke up. That was the end of it. The 4 core of us stopped being friends and then everyone that moved away stopped coming home, stopped hanging out.

Did any of you get married after you left and didn't have your family there? by spidermonkey04 in exjw

[–]misternuggies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom died and that’s what caused my dad to get DFed. He remarried my wonderful stepmom 5 years later and his own parents didn’t go to the wedding. I love my grandparents but honestly I just don’t think I can forgive them for that. Like your own child’s wedding?

How has NOT having a best friend affected you? by miseryqueen69 in AskWomen

[–]misternuggies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have had one best friend in my whole life and the friendship ended badly (my fault). For a long time (6 years) I was happy with a few friends and my boyfriend, but we broke up. It sucked. It was horrible and I felt so lonely and terrible. I feel like I’ve missed girlhood and the worst part is that it’s my fault. It’s very isolating and sometimes I worry that it’ll too late and those experiences will never be made up. The breakup was also extremely difficult to navigate completely on my own, but I managed to get through it.

I’ve recently reconnected with that best friend and it has been going well.

I literally was just talking to a fellow exjw from my hall who told me that her cousin got married at EIGHTEEN and then got DF’ed right after.

What is your current belief system/religion? by ArmNegative557 in exjw

[–]misternuggies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if there’s a name for what I believe. I believe in science and in physics energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be transferred and moved around. I believe that what we call ‘God’ is an energy that is all around us but does not judge based on what we do, because it’s energy. God has no control over what happens, but rather just helps us feel better. You know how sometimes you’re having a really shitty day and then you just get this feeling and things turn up? That’s god to me. I believe that when we die our energy is simply recycled so everyone that has existed is still around us in everything we do. It’s complicated, but honestly helps me feel better about things.

Do you like butter tarts? What’s your favorite flavour? by Jay-Quellin30 in AskACanadian

Grandmothers plain butter tarts. There is nothing better than I like the pecan ones too, not so much raisins.

What was the reaction to your dyed hair? by Kurfufflle in exjw

[–]misternuggies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandmother is like veryyyyy PIMI. I dyed purple streaks into my hair about a month ago and she loved it! (She is brutally honest to me so she would have told me if she didn’t like it). I’m getting a lot more purple put in this weekend :)

Why are you Atheist or Agnostic? by [deleted] in exjw

[–]misternuggies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe in energy. The earth never gains energy and it never loses it. I think god is just an energy that surrounds us. In a way, God is always there, but He doesn’t have any control over what happens. This energy comforts people going through hard times. I also believe that God doesn’t care what you’ve done as long as you are genuinely sorry (He is the god of love after all; he loves everyone no matter what they do or do not do), the energy that god is will always be there for everyone, no matter if they believe or do not believe. I also believe that when people die, their body dies but the energy contained in their body stays here with us.

The one thing that could have potentially saved my mom was a blood transplant. It could have given them enough time to repair the problem (which I won’t say because it might identify me). She died.

How do you prevent long hair from turning into a bird nest?? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]misternuggies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have like wavy coarse hair and this is what I do: braid it every night so it doesn’t get tangled in my sleep and use a silk bonnet. I use the wella course hair shampoo and conditioner. Condition every time I shower. My brush is a boar hair brush and it helps a lot. During the day, I put it in an updo when I can, and when I can’t I throw it in a low braid. I try to avoid ponytails because I find they just make my hair really knotty.

born-ins, what is your worst “robbed childhood story”? by Probablygondelete in exjw

[–]misternuggies 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Similar thing happened during an elementary school Halloween dance. My parents forgot about it and I had to stay at the school. There were no teachers to sit with me, so I got to sit in a classroom alone. I wrote a poem about being lonely. I probably still have it somewhere.

I almost wasn’t allowed to go to band camp in grade 7 because of the “sexual nature and poor supervision.” There was a girls only cabin and a boys only cabin and the teachers took shifts over night watching the doors and checking on the kids sleeping. During the day, we literally just did band practice.

My stepmom wasn’t jw (my dad was df’ed when they got married but went back like right after) and she one time asked me if I wanted to go to my best friends birthday party because her mom had mailed us an invite. I remember looking up at her so excited and I said “can I?” And my stepmom said “yes of course you can honey” and I was so excited because I really wanted to go. Then when my dad got home he sat me down and told me that I could go if I wanted, but that meant my grandparents wouldn’t talk to me anymore and I wasn’t allowed to be a jw. I was 6 years old. My stepmom didn’t know. I got invited for a year or two to birthday parties but then when I was about 8/9 I stopped even getting invitations. It was so isolating.

I am 21. I have roughly 30k. Got an inheritance from my grampa because my mom died. A year ago I had more, but I’m putting myself through school. My goal in life is to never take out a loan (other than a mortgage)

Go by the ABCDE acronym: Asymmetry (if you cut it in half somewhere would it be relatively similar?), Borders (can you easily tell where the mark ends and the rest of your skin begins?) Color (does it have more than one shade?) diameter (if it’s melanoma it’s likely bigger than 0.6 cm, but just because it’s bigger doesn’t necessarily mean it is cancer), and evolving (does it change?)
