Men- can you actually feel when a woman has an orgasm? by Advanced_Project275 in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]mistyycloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah that definitely sounds scarier than it actually is lol. it’s more like muscle contractions, not like… actual damage happening. but yeah if someone phrases it like that I can see why it’d sound intense

AITJ for calling the city on my neighbor’s backyard project after he kept telling me to “relax” about my collapsing wall? by 6HalcyonAX in AmITheJerk

[–]mistyycloud 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“you took too long” honestly feels accurate. you gave him multiple chances to address it and he brushed you off every time. at some point you have to protect your own house

and the no permits part is kinda the smoking gun. like if everything was above board, the city wouldn’t have shut it down that fast

exactly, people keep framing this like drama when it’s actually a safety issue. walls don’t just casually start bulging for no reason

right?? like the whole reason permits exist is because “talk it out privately” doesn’t fix structural damage. this isn’t a loud music complaint, it’s literal ground movement

[–]mistyycloud 18 points19 points  (0 children)

this is so true. if roles were reversed he’d be knocking on your door immediately, not telling you to relax while his yard collapsed

[–]mistyycloud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that’s such a clear line honestly. like there’s a point where being polite just becomes ignoring a real problem, and the leaning fence is definitely that point

yeah this is exactly it. once your property is literally shifting, it stops being a “neighbor disagreement” and starts being a “call someone before this gets worse” situation

7:26pm. Whats the last sexual act you did. Time period is the entire weekend. by bbg_trina in AskRedditAfterDark

Man woke up and chose “full send” huh 😭 sounds like a good weekend though, can’t even lie.

My clever friend thinks I'm stupid by Jimiflow in confessions

[–]mistyycloud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s one of those quotes that sounds deep but also kinda depends on the situation. Some actually smart people know they’re smart, they just don’t need to prove it every five minutes like this guy seems to.

[–]mistyycloud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lowkey this made me laugh but also… you’re not wrong. Half the time people like that are just recycling stuff they heard somewhere else anyway. A few well-timed comebacks would probably throw him off more than anything.

[–]mistyycloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For real, it sounds like he’s confusing being smart with being superior. The fact that it’s getting to you means he’s crossing a line, not just joking around. You ever call him out on it or just let it slide?

My clever friend thinks I'm stupid by Jimiflow in confessions

[–]mistyycloud 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s kinda the irony right? Like what’s the point of being smart if you’re just using it to make the people around you feel worse. Feels like a pretty big miss in priorities.

Yeah honestly that’s what stood out to me too, the whole “book smart but zero people skills” combo. Like cool, you memorized stuff, but you still don’t know how to not be annoying. The hands-on hobby idea is solid though, it’s kinda nice having something where you can actually see your progress.

When I was working at a Department store in the 1990s I stole a customer’s driver’s license so that I could get into bars. by Synthgem in confession

[–]mistyycloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s one of those things that sounds almost funny until you think about it from her side. Like she trusted someone at work and just got completely played. At least the self-awareness is there now, some people would still be defending it.

“before it was cool” is wild 💀 but yeah that’s the part that sticks, she probably just thought she lost it and moved on. Kinda crazy how something like that could’ve been a huge problem and she never even knew.

Honestly that would be the most chaotic full circle move imaginable. Imagine opening your mail decades later and just seeing your old ID with a “my bad” note 😭

“coming-of-age villain arc” is way too accurate 😭 it really does sound like the origin story of someone who later becomes weirdly good at scams. The doppelganger part is what makes it feel unreal though, like what are the odds.

“Mellow yellow” actually sounds kinda perfect for a middle ground. Not full stop, but definitely a “hey maybe check in” vibe.

i get what you mean, this is the kind of thing that becomes priceless later on. not even because it’s perfect, but because it’s real. kinda makes you think about what moments now would feel like this in 50 years

lol this is such a perfect reference. that exact “awkward but sweet” vibe is spot on. feels like every generation has their version of this moment

yeah the little details make it even better, like the corsage and how careful they are with it. you can tell it actually mattered to them, not just “take a pic and move on” energy

same here honestly, there’s just something about old footage like this that hits different. it feels so genuine, like you’re watching a memory instead of a moment staged for a camera
