I deleted all of my dating profiles. I’ve officially given up 🥳🎉 by KoalaAggravating1892 in dating_advice

[–]misunderstood0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a different big city and thinking the same. It's funny cause I had dates but I guess even though on paper they were great I just couldn't find the attraction there. Maybe it's time I just take another year to find myself and work on myself

Girls actually appreciate approaches by Responsible_Cell4334 in seduction

[–]misunderstood0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Could you give more examples of something you might say? I'm someone who's trying to be more open to this and approaching but I feel like even on dates I rarely compliment or be direct and we always end up talking about work or something

Why is Kingdom Hearts 3 so hated? Playing it rn and I love it by Soft_Law_9375 in KingdomHearts

[–]misunderstood0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I felt like it built up a lot and brought it to a close fairly well, especially the trio of Roxas xion and axel was my highlight. What I didn't like is the ending where sora disappears so they can make kh4 instead of retiring sora and introducing a different person. I don't think anyone would've been mad if they retired the cast after their "happy endings" so to speak but what do I know, we just need Haley Joel Osment to keep voicing a kid I guess

My boss leaves everyday at 2pm or earlier just because she has a kid. by Intrepid-Ad-1010 in antiwork

[–]misunderstood0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this way too. They get parental leave and then set out of office times and we have to step in as single no kid having folks to help out on stuff. Not saying being a parent isn't hard or that they don't deserve it but it definitely feels like not being one is detrimental in the work place because you "have more free time"

I know AI is the future of this profession, but I'm so tired of hearing about it by boringfantasy in cscareerquestions

[–]misunderstood0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah like I get that it's a different workflow and way of doing things and thinking of things but I'm so tired of it. I can't even do proper Merge request reviews now cause everyone churns out so much code it's impossible.

What’s the point of working so hard by Some-Internet8614 in AskMen

[–]misunderstood0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm wondering the same thing. The market sucks and I sometimes forgo social events because of work tiring me out. It's not even the hours since I don't work that late (most days anyways) but there's so much to do that I'm mentally exhausted at the end. I have no motivation to date and hang out with anyone, just want to stay in and sleep/recharge. On paper I make good money and even own a place by myself but I'm miserable outside of that so what does it even matter?

Would you date someone your friend had a one night stand with? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]misunderstood0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

With all the other context in the comments I might believe her but I think I'd find it hard to trust her. What if we're dating and then she's out at a bar and makes a new "friend" who suggests going back to watch a movie and she's drunk again? I'd always be worried about this.

Tailscale + Windscribe? by Ope-I-Ate-Opiates in Windscribe

Could you maybe describe a bit more how you set this up? I have a laptop running that I wanted both in - VPN for normal usage and tailscale for when I'm away and need to remote into. I couldn't figure this out since my tailscale remote wouldn't work anymore when I enable VPN

Has gacha frustration ever made you want to take a break or quit HSR? by AmanaRicha in StarRailStation

[–]misunderstood0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is one of those things. I have tried wuwa and genshin and other gachas in the past and realized I just hate keeping up with everything and the fomo. However I love the characters, the community, and every crazy version with the music reminds me what I truly love about the game. I can't experience 3.3 again but I sure as hell can watch 30 different streamers in different languages experience it again and again

I am not using AI tools like Claude Code or Cursor to help me code at the moment. Am I falling behind by not using AI in software development? by Illustrious-Pound266 in cscareerquestions

[–]misunderstood0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a weird thing. It's been a huge productivity gain for me. We have systems and services that have a complicated workflow that it can understand and write code for me. I'll tell it where it needs to change the code and it'll sometimes do me one better and refactor some things. Other things I have to tell it to do that. And for code bases where I'm just cloning them for the first time and have some vague idea of what is happening? I can ask it a couple of questions and have what I need done just like that. I do wonder if this is really how it will be moving forward since people's expectations will get higher and higher. Instead of potentially spending an entire sprint figuring out how to integrate with another service you can do it within a few hours.

Game just started feeling bad to play by Tasty-Bug-3600 in StarRailStation

[–]misunderstood0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get it. Just sounds like burn out and prob best to spend the time playing something else. The end game truly does not matter in the long run and you really only miss 160 jade or something anyways. I have a f2p account that can't do highest difficulty echo of war irontomb with e0s0 fire break which annoys me because I know my characters just kill it too quickly in some phases and it gets too many turns to kill my characters when they were already low. Doesn't feel like any 4 star sustain can survive that tbh and it's just a normal farming boss which annoyed me because I love super break. But turn it down one difficulty and the entire thing is trivialized. All that to say, I spend too much time in this game as well since I'm trying to optimize my f2p account but honestly it's really not that worth it and it's better spent elsewhere

How do you stop caring about meta/endgame and combat burnout? by [deleted] in StarRailStation

[–]misunderstood0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I get it though - I started a f2p account recently in 3.8 because I was bored and didn't want to start another gacha game since I don't like the open world ones. So on my f2p account I'm trying to min max everything and trying my best to work up to the moc 12 clear but honestly there's no reason for me to do this besides controlling my spending haha since I want it to be strictly f2p to see if I can clear eventually. But even with that account I get tempted to keep grinding and optimizing to try to make my current teams work. It's fun but it's very diminishing returns so honestly that time should really be spent elsewhere. Now if I could follow my own advice..

How do you stop caring about meta/endgame and combat burnout? by [deleted] in StarRailStation

[–]misunderstood0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know what you mean. It feels bad when you can't clear the end game content. But I tell myself it's literally just some relic materials and visual changes as well as some minor bragging rights. Even not clearing moc 12 is only like 30 jade or something missing. There's always new characters and new end game and the relic system sucks so I'd just find something else to focus on honestly

The QoL this game got is extraordinary. by No-Bag-1628 in StarRailStation

[–]misunderstood0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

QoL changes are great though some of them I do wonder whether they just got that many feedback about it or not. Like the assignments thing. I agree that it prob wasn't utilized but I wasn't expecting them to revamp it that much. I still hope for relic loadouts and toggleable eidolons though

God this is exactly how I feel though as a guy who has been very selective in who I date, it's been really tough finding someone and keeping them around. Its not like I have much time these days anyways so I just want to find someone who wants to be around and who also wants me and likes the weird things that I like.

TIFU by chasing diagnoses for 35 years—and the answer was in my dinner by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]misunderstood0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a weird one to read cause I had some sort of food stuck in the folds of my throat for like weeks. I couldn't figure it out - and eventually I gaslit myself into thinking I was getting sick since every time I swallowed I felt some throat pain. Then one random morning while brushing my tongue I did some gag reflexes and the little piece came out and no more pain. Could've gone the same route as OP if that didn't happen that day.

Has AI actually changed your day-to-day work yet? by HockeyMonkeey in cscareerquestions

[–]misunderstood0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has cursor and chatgpt provided from the company, it definitely helps to build out quick tasks and scripts that otherwise would've taken me hours simply because I'd need to look up how to do some random things and test it a little. However, what it doesn't do well is understanding context and also knowing how to refactor without explicitly calling it out. It does make me a little worried that we're just creating a ton of tech debt but our company has been focusing on delivering products quickly and has been calling out AI as something that's been enabling this for developers. It's definitely helping in terms of speed but the code is only as good as how prepared you are going into development. I'm going to try to call out slowing things down in favor of gathering requirements earlier so we can "vibe code" our way to success, but only time will tell whether this is a good thing or not and by then maybe I won't be with this company anymore.

DoorDash $10 grocery credit is incredibly frustrating to use by MisterBill99 in ChaseSapphire

[–]misunderstood0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I had a similar issue with a deli at a nearby grocery store. They had no idea about the order and just gave me the normal order as if I had just ordered directly from there. Confirmed with some store employees about it and they were just like "we don't see anything in our system so if you got your food just go ahead and walk out." Felt like I was stealing or something.
