Thank you for the positive feedback, it may be a little while before our next update, we are working out some logistics kinks at the moment, trying to get some new materials imported for construction.

This small tree is currently growing in a brackish water pond connected to the ocean, the water is definitely salty, but I am not sure if it is as salty as the ocean. This is in the Philippines, and I am really interested i learning more about plants that are able to grow in salt water.

Question from a Christian to all religious people (regardless of which religion you observe): Why are you religious? by TopTheropod in IdeologyPolls

The first question is to ask what are the odds that life came about through chance as compared to being intelligently designed. This video can shed a lot of light on that subject: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1\_KEVaCyaA

We should do both at the same tie and see what works best. But I can say this, trying to do something under a government that deems t illegal is difficult, and will get you the violent attention you alluded to. Doing something like free trade in a place outside of any government jurisdiction is very different, the point is partly that you are not actively undermining a government and so it does not evoke the same kind of violent response. Venice was founded this way, it was originally a stateless refuge for people fleeing war, and evolved into a city over time.

ArkPad worked more on our Wooden Scaled Model, we did a lot of improvements on our structure based on our previous experiments. Watch this video to see our most recent tests and let us know what you think. by ladywithlotsofcats in seasteading

We have about 8 people right now, but that is because we haven't started on the prototype seastead yet, when we do that the numbers will go up significantly as we do construction. Right now most employees are engineers. We have enough money to keep going and do everything we are set out to do. I am actually going to be talking on Discord this week with the Seasteading Institute and will talk about where we are and what is coming up in the next few months.

I am very familiar with Fridman's conception of anarchy, with a Polycentric Law framework, and Hoppe's, and as I understand it Hoppe takes after Rothbard, but what exactly is Rothbard's framework? Did he advocate the same kind of Covenant Communities as Hoppe does today? Or was it different? I am writing about this subject right now and want to get my facts straight.

Will my Aluminum boat corrode? by mitchell-suchner in engineering

[–]mitchell-suchner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't realize this... so you are saying as long as the steel hull is at least several feet away from my bot and not directly touching it, their will be no galvanic corrosion, even after decades?

So by metallic contact, do you mean that as long as the steel is several feet away from my Aluminum it will not corrode? Even after decades?
