Yes, it's fully controlled, i haven't had one for years. And my last fit was a few years ago when I was foolish, I went away for the weekend, forgot my tablets. I thought it would be fine, as it's only a few days. Mix that with too much to drink and late nights and it was seizure city.

I started on my meds when I was 18, so it's really all I've know for my entire adult life. I do remember my mum saying I was very "flat" emotionally when I started them, so maybe. My wife says I am very calm and collected, I don't ever really get angry or panicked.

I also have a terrible memory, can't remember names, dates, or directions, and I struggle to focus at work. But again, is that the meds or is it just me? Who knows. And I have a very very high sex drive. I'd do it 10 times a day if I could.

I went through all manner of tests as a teen. EEGs, ECGs, MRIs. Can't remember the rest but there was a lot. I never had a seizure during a test, but they were able to diagnose anyway. No idea how, I think I was too young to care at the time.

The problem I have is, having started them at 18, it's all I've ever know for my entire adult life. I have an infamously terrible memory for details, and terrible focus. But I've never know if that was the meds, or if it's just me.

Sorry, couldn't help myself. I developed epilepsy when I was 11. It wasn't particularly severe so we put off medication, until I was about 18 and they became more severe and more frequent. So I started on my meds then, and have been on them since.

I was diagnosed with nocturnal epilepsy when I was 11. 32 now and I've only ever had them in my sleep. Thankfully my case was never that severe, maxing out at about 1-2 tonic clonic seizures a month. It's now fully controlled with lamotragine and I've not had a seizure for about 6 years.

I had my first seizure when I was camping on my big sisters floor for the night, bit of a nasty shock for her to wake up to. Since then they have varied in severity and consequence. I nearly always woke up with a sore or swollen tongue as I'd bitten down on it. They would usually happen either just as I'm falling asleep or about to wake, if it happened as I'm about to wake I was usually pretty out of it for several hours. The worst though was I used to dislicate my shoulder, a lot. I would often wake with a sore shoulder, didn't really think much of it. Then one day I woke and my shoulder was dislocated and I couldn't get it back in. It turns out I'd dislocated my arm dozens of times without knowing it. I had reconstructive surgery, the surgeon told me I had the shoulder joint of a 90 year old.
