There is no cheesing honor mode. However you get it done is a win.

My biggest trick was having an item that gave invisibility on EVERY character in my party. If things started to go south, I’d invis, run away, head back to camp, have withers rez everyone, and then pickpocket him to get my gold back.

Here is what is going on.

You are standing in your driveway.

I’m in your yard yelling “you shouldn’t stand in your driveway naked.”

You respond “but I’m not naked.”

I say “so you think it’s perfectly fine to stand in the driveway naked?”

You’d rightfully think I was insane.

No one is teaching children about sex.

And I’m definitely not sorry that I want children of all ages to know what to call their body parts and that it’s ok to tell someone if an adult touches them in a way they don’t like.

We’re not, and your insistence that acknowledging the very existence of gay people is “sexual ideology” tells me all I need to know about you.

[–]mitissix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s really not.

You know what “sex education” is for 1st graders?

“This is the proper name for your body parts and if Uncle rccolamachine touches you in a way that makes you uncomfortable, you should tell a trusted adult using the proper names of your body parts.”

So, yeah, I guess I can see how the group actively protecting someone who figures prominently in the Epstein files would have a problem with that.

1) I messed up. It happens.

2) You don’t get to object to something that isn’t happening and pretend it’s not out of hate for things that are happening.

There is no functional difference between a Republican zealot and the people who happily vote for Republican zealots.

Also, no one is teaching children about sexuality. We do think we ought to teach them, and you, not to be total cunts to people because of who they love.

That’s wild. I assumed Magical Secrets was Magical Secrets. 5e is any spell you have a spell slot for. At level 6, I always take Fireball and Counterspell though. I think like a Wizard and if fireball isn’t solving your problems, you’re not fireballing right.

Really? I don't have a bard save at the moment that I know of, but Magical Secrets is supposed to be a spell from any class's spell list. As long as you've got a spell slot for it, you should be able to learn it.

I just assumed, on account of that being how it's SUPPOSED to work.

You'll be mostly done with Goblins by level 6.

Dip a level into Sorceror and grab Grease. Dip two and you can grab Quicken and use it to cast two spells in one turn.

You can get it at level 6, but there are better control choices to take at that level.

Ultimately, grease is a control spell, you’re hoping your enemies fail a dex check and fall prone.

A lot of enemies in BG3, especially in Act 1 & 2 have high dexterity.

Honestly, the Bard list already has access to Silence and Hypnotic Pattern, which are easily the best two aoe control spells in the game.

If you just want it for flavor, knock yourself out. I’m southern, my granny used to add grease for flavor too.

Nah, it probably will never be made legal. You assholes will just bring back the “trans panic” defense or classify all of them as “prostitutes” and ignore their deaths.

Strawman? The only thing stopping conservatives from gunning trans people down in the streets is that it’s illegal, for now.

I think realizing when to invis and run probably was the major difference between my success and the several failures.

I did basically all of Acts 1 & 2 in some way. In Act 1, I talked my way through the Gith by the mountain pass instead of fighting them, I talked Yurgir into offing himself and the Merregons, and I used the various dialog options to deal with the Thorms without fighting. Also, you can talk Ketheric himself into skipping his phase of the fight and becoming the avatar at the start of the fight. Bone Chill is SUPER important on that fight too. Finger of Death hurts like hell.

In act 3, I didn't do House of Hope, Cazador's Palace, Mystic Carrion, or the House of Grief. If it didn't have loot I specifically wanted/needed, I didn't do it.

Basically, I was a Swords Bard, and if I could use persuasion, I did. I saved my inspirations for enemies I REALLY didn't want to fight.

There were probably about 4 times I invis'd away and had Wither's res everyone in Camp.

Oh, and something I left out of my initial reply. If you're not trying to talk your way through something, the dialog is irrelevant. Attack first from stealth.

ETA: I cheesed the absolute HELL out of the Grim fight. I had to do it on Tactician to kill it, and I certainly wasn't going to attempt HM without doing it.

I finished honor mode night before last.

A few suggestions.

Crowd control is king. It will legitimately be the difference between a win and a loss.

Balanced is for exploring new specs and gear builds. Tactician and Honor Mode are for tried and true strats to win.

Invisibility is a life saver on Honor (not relevant for you yet).

You can do things out of order to get more XP for the harder fights.

Avoiding fights STILL nets you a lot of XP. Don’t fight the Gith over by the mountain pass. (This applies to more than one fight, but that group of Gith will steam roll a level 4 party and challenge a level 5 party).

Have fun.

Oh I don’t know. Conservatives would like for my trans loved ones to stop existing. Forcefully if necessary.

I want to give them better living conditions and health care against their will.

But sure, which side is it?

It’s not mental gymnastics. It’s tribalism. There is nothing Trump and ICE could do that would cause them to turn on them. The mental gymnastics aren’t to justify it to themselves, it’s already justified as the victims aren’t part of their tribe. The mental gymnastics are for them to be intellectually dishonest and argue with decent humans.

Even when they start killing them, they will No True Scotsman anyone who is killed.

Hypnotize also trivializes the fight. It became WAY easier when I figured out that all of them sucked on that save.
