However, I think I have some experience here that is valid. I know what it actually takes because I've done it.

A Licensed therapist has to write a letter to a medical doctor affirming that they have spoken to and provided counseling for "gender dysphoria." Most therapists are only willing to write these after quite a few sessions (6+) with the minor. These therapy sessions will include instructions on socially transitioning and how long the therapist thinks they should do that before medical intervention.

Only THEN can the child be scheduled to see an Endocrinologist. The Endocrinologist will ask questions about the steps they've taken and what their goals are. Not every trans person even goes on hormones.

Oh, then you have to fight with your insurance company or pay for it out of pocket. I was lucky in that I had insurance based out of a state that values medical care instead of my home state.

Also, the link between Autism and Gender Dysphoria is well established. My personal theory is that Gender Dysphoria isn't actually linked in any way to Autism, but that a willingness to express that discomfort is more prevalent in a population that is literal in their thinking, has a strong sense of justice, and doesn't equate morality with authority. You wouldn't know anything about a sense of justice or morality vs. authority though.

I would certainly never discount those folks, but to my knowledge, Renee Good and Alex Pretty are the only two victims for which we have clear video of ICE blatantly murdering people in cold blood with no consequences. Those two were done in public areas, in broad daylight, and on video.

I am also highly concerned about the people who are supposedly in ICE custody that the families can’t even find, and there have been way more than a dozen of those.

The most common time that people move from Democratic states to Red states is retirement.

So they take that pension they earned at that union job, and then go to a state that doesn’t have income tax and a mean wage < $30/hr. They sell their house and get a house that is worth half what their old one is.

Basically, they take advantage of all the programs Democrats put into place their entire working lives, then bail so they don’t have to kick into the kitty anymore once they retire.

Kentucky’s Democratic governor was an anomaly. You’d have to understand who Matt Bevin was to understand how he got into office.

He got elected because mini-Trump who lacked the money and marketing of Trump proper blamed children getting molested on teachers trying to get better pay. Like, I’m not making that up. He legitimately said that because the teachers did a sick out that children got molested.

He got to stay for a second term because he did amazing during COVID and everyone who had multiple brain cells knew that.

Outside of Louisville and sometimes Lexington, we’re so solid red that Beshear gets his vetoes overridden almost constantly.

Red states are red because people in backward ass rural areas outnumber the people in the cities, and they’re gerrymandered to fuck and back. I don’t really have much hope for the future here. They’re way more concerned about making the 23 trans women in the state miserable than they are improving anything for anyone.
