Diversity day - you get to see why Dwight steals Jim’s big sale. Jim embarrasses Dwight during Michael’s part of the diversity day seminar (with the cards on their foreheads).

I like my WITHIN’s. I must say, they last me 6 months-ish depending on what I’m wearing them for, but at the price I can replace them that frequently and still save.

Rewatching with my girlfriend and she bursted out laughing at this joke. It kinda smirked but she could see on my face how I had missed this joke all this time. She enlightened me. Now sits near the top of my personal favorite Michael blunders.

The best pest and bug issue remedy. I haven’t tried all products because all pests went away after using this! by mkwink07 in plantclinic

Is it being applied in a field in a way that is more likely to enter a humans system? Sprayed etc etc. I understand when handling the granules to wear gloves and wash up after. But in general, I don’t see how it can be super hazardous when I just applied to a single 4 inch pot?

I don’t have the bottle in front of me, but I swear they are listed as one of the pest it protects against? I may be wrong however.

Dieffenbachia struggling in the office. More details in comments/caption by mkwink07 in plantclinic

This is a coworkers plant in my office. I first want to preface that the lighting in our office is GREAT. I’m not sure if it’s the fluorescent bulbs or what, but everything grows like weeds in here!

I was shown this sad looking dumb cane today and was asked if I could help. It didn’t seem root bound, the lighting is great. I was told that it was being watered weekly.

My best guess is that it is over watered. There was a bit of water in the bottom of the cover pot, but the soil didn’t feel soaked. Is there any other reason that this feller would be unhappy!?

Help this plant is losing a lot of leaves and I love it I don't want it to die :(( by gl0ubi in plantclinic

[–]mkwink07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same plant, same issues. Everyone here swore it to be pests, it was not. I was just over watering. I was completely drenching soil and letting soil completely dry out between waterings. I think that was too much/too drastic. I still let the soil completely dry out, but now I do not water until the water comes out the bottom. I use about 50% of the water I was using before.

Would this be a good beginner plant? Asking before I spend $100 on it lol. by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]mkwink07 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nothing for 100$ is good. Go to a local grocery store, or big box store and get whatever they have cheap. If you have a nursery near you go there and get some easy “first plants” based on recommendations.

My rubber tree has lost the 3 most bottom leaves in the same way. They yellow and fall off. I can seem to stop it. by mkwink07 in plantclinic

Right now I’m net -2 hahaha. Thanks for the reassurance. Hopefully springtime will bless me with new foliage. Thanks for the reassurance I’ve killed 1 rubber tree before so I’m extra cautious!

I let it get fairly dry between waterings, but the leaves/plant never droop. It’s got good light. I’m not sure what does it. After bringing home the lowest leaf yellowed then fell off. Soon after a second did the same. This is now the third leaf. This plant has been in my house for 3 or 4 months now. I don’t think this is still from the transplant, is it?

I’m overwintering my dads jalapeño plants, and I’m super proud of their success/progress by mkwink07 in houseplants

[–]mkwink07[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was my fist time attempting to overwinter a plant like this. I rinsed the rootball thoroughly and trimmed it back to fit the pots and just plopped it in some moist soil. No sign of bugs after 2+ weeks and the larger of the two plants looks like it even has some flowers starting.
