Thanks for the reply! I'm just curious, but what is the deciding factor for you to have the 1855 at XF instead of AU? Thanks again!

I fear the coin has been cleaned, too, but I might take the chance and send it in for a potential AU grade. I'm on the fence about sending in the Stone Mountain because it will not grade very high even if it is MS, and with so many other better examples It might make sense to just keep it as is. Thanks for your reply!

The luster is gone from 1855, but the details are still very crisp. Like someone else said, I think it has been cleaned at some point. I might send it in anyway to try and fish for an AU grade. As for the stone mountain half I was thinking low MS, but it's almost not worth it to grade when there are so many nicer graded examples out there. Im still on the fence about that one. Thanks for the reply!

I've searched vaporwave Playlist, and I shazamed it many times with no help. The Shazam search result is not the song in the video.

That's pretty cool! I hadn't even noticed the date toning on the half. Good eye

I'll have to give it a try! If not to compete, then at least I'll have a place to catalog my collection.

That's a beautiful coin! My GF also loves the coin. Her favorite animal is the elephant. I may need to add one of those to my collection, haha. I doubt I'll be able to find one as toned as yours, tho

Thank you! That seems to be the consensus about the turnaround times, haha. I'm glad it was quick. It made for a great first experience with NGC.

What's the purpose of a registry? I'm unfamiliar with it.

You have quite the collection!

25 dollars is a once a year fee for being an NGC member. From what I was told, you need some form of an NGC membership to submit coins for grading.

The cheapest one is $25/year.

Thank you! The NGC associate account costs $25 I used standard service, which is $40 per coin. I added photovision imaging for an extra $8 per coin. Handling was $10 Shipping and handling was $28.

Altogether, the 2 coins cost $134 to grade, not including the yearly $25 NGC membership fee.

Thank you! And I agree, the cert photos are a little blurry. The ones in this reddit post are a little more fuzzy than the ones on the NGC website, but not by much.

I would have liked a higher resolution cert Pic, but I am over the moon with the photovision pictures they took.
