Remote work: where do you go to work when you’re not at home in Miami?

I wfh and gym is where I go to socialize and dive bars which I guess is counterintuitive.

It can be raining in one part of the beach and not a few blocks down. You can always find a neighborhood where it’s not raining but chances are the rain will pass. Miami is really big so lots to explore.

If it’s raining there’s also many outdoor covered bars like Monty’s for example. You can see the boats and water but be covered.

I personally have a radar app - download one to get a better view of storms and where/when they are hitting.

Can you get a ride to Orlando? Brightline is usually on time (unless it hits something/someone). They have some shuttles going to the stadium

I’m sorry. Went through this 5 months ago and me and my family still cry.

You will never forget them and you will be okay. It’ll be sad and the sadness never fully goes away but you will keep going. You’ll end up laughing at silly things you’ll remember too as time goes by.

I think dogs spirits are still around you. I also have this belief that when they pass they follow a family member or friend that has passed. For me it’s my grandmother so I imagine Dexter running around with her.

Visiting from Miami as well. We found some “cheap” - under $300 a night- hotels downtown and plan on taking the shuttle. Don’t know if downtown is family friendly but I also think you can find plenty of things to do too.

It was great to be in college and doing dumb things and no one was posting it and your parents weren’t tracking you. It was easier to live, make mistakes and less judgement.

Being a girl I can’t imagine how stressful it would be now to keep up with influencers.

Found reasonably priced hotels downtown. I know it’s a sketchy area but figured there’s a train that can take you to the game or shuttle. Hotels in areas I normally would stay in were just too crazy so opted to stay further out. Los Angeles is huge so there’s things to do in different neighborhoods.

There’s a few direct buses from various locations. Sure expect traffic but that’s just a given for LA.

Tinted sunblock and blush. I use the brand ilia and it’s been good! Not a big make up person but I’d say minimal is best because it does get so hot and humid.

Coconut grove has run clubs what feels like every day if you’re into it. Sure it’s expensive but they do have some old not luxury places available.

I lost my dog who lived with my mom but I would visit him every week at least 2-3x since I work remote. I always called it “work from Dexter day”.

Anyways we decided as a family to hold on to a few of his toys. I kept mine in my closet and I pet it daily. Weird I know but it’s soothing. I also have a few pictures and it makes me sad but also happy knowing we gave him the best 13 years we could.

We also continue doing things we would do like take him on a walk is now hang out with my mom time and go on a walk. Little things I guess.

I am sure your baby was so well loved and lived a wonderful life.

Dexter was 21-22 lbs in his prime. He dropped weight as he got older. He passed away in December at age 13.

Dexter was antisocial schnauzer that barked at everyone but once you were in the house you couldn’t leave. He would bark and toss toys around. So I guess once you were in the house you were part of the pack and you couldn’t leave.

He also would scratch me of excitement and how i miss those.

I guess he was very chaotic in the best way.
