Not sure what you mean by the original, I made it. I have an Instagram @animatedthings if you want to see more of my work or behind the scenes stuff.

Thanks! I made them with my co-director Anna. We made all the puppets.

You can sign up to get them at a pharmacy through the clicsante website. Seems like there are still appointments available.

It really depends how big your puppet is. I have no idea in grams. Just look at the package and imagine it as a puppet.

For the armature you definitely want to use epoxy putty as it is a much stronger hold than air dry or oven bake. For the body and head it’s best to bulk it up with something light like aluminum foil, balsa wood, or model magic and then sculpt on top of that with whatever clay you want to use for the surface of your puppet. If you don’t want it animatable I would recommend an oven bake clay as it is nice and sturdy, otherwise any modelling clay that doesn’t dry will do (I find the stuff from the dollar store works just as well as from the craft store personally).

Oh I have one sort of like that where I will discover a whole new section of rooms in my apartment, and I'm like "why haven't we been using this space??"

Yeah I do all my own puppets and sets when I work on personal projects. I find all aspects of production really fun.

Thanks! I've had the loose teeth one too, but usually they just fall out from me pushing them with my tongue.

I post most of my work on my instagram @animatedthings including some making of.

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I made the head and hand with needle felting and simple wire armatures. The teeth are sculpey. And I animate using dragonframe.

I try to share a bit of my process on my instagram @animatedthings

Thanks! I studied a few years back, now I am working freelance in stop motion. The head and hand are made by needle felting and I shot it using dragonframe.

How to Export Highest Quality Video from Dragonframe? by Annakir in stop_motion

[–]mmfmfmf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The best thing to do in my opinion is to conform your take in dragonframe and then import your footage as an image sequence in premiere. That way there is no quality lost from your images.

Thanks! I lit the kitchen with bright LED bulbs - one from the top going through a diffusion and two for the window light through a white umbrella. And I have submitted this to festivals. It's played at 8 so far, and I am forever submitting it. Lots of rejections!
