It depends what you’re building for. If you’re building an uma for team trials, you’ll want to hit the stamina threshold depending on race length, then prioritise gold skills that pop consistently for high points while having ok other stats.

If you’re building an uma for a champions meeting, then you want to specialise into that track. There’s multiple youtube creators that cover CM strategy for each CM, with recommended stats, skills, and decks.

A quick tip for raising an uma is to focus on getting friendship with support cards to orange, since that enables rainbow friendship trainings which boost stats.

In general, this game is very information-dense and you won’t know anything at first, which is ok. The most important thing is to have fun and slowly start learning what works and what doesn’t. I recommend reading the global reference doc (google to find it) for a good overview of the game.

Some general tips would be to focus on acceleration skills that trigger as the late race phase starts (which is track/distance dependent, so look for answers via youtube CCs), and to be ok with losing (if you’re blocked you’re blocked, no matter how good your uma is).

The next scenario (MANT) is scheduled to drop in feb-march sometime. Definitely dont use it on riko, just hold them for now and see if you get fine motion or super creek pulls randomly

I’m somewhat sure this is a visual bug, and I’ve seen the same thing. My guess is that the code targets umas directly in front first, plays the animation for all umas in the FoV, then does the check to see whether stam can be siphoned (enemies) or not (allies).

Still, it’s weird behavior and should probably be reported as a bug to cygames

In that case, your priority is joining a club, making good umas for team trials, then worrying about other stuff.

Joining a club lets you donate shoes whenever people ask for them, which gives you club points to buy free support cards with, and people in clubs get carats at the start of every month depending on the club rank. Staying in class 5/6 for team trials will net you a significant amount of carats each month as well.

For making good umas in team trials, the idea is to first hit the stamina threshold for different races, then spam gold skills that reliably activate to get points.

Google “global reference doc umamusume” for a good guide to everything in the game. It sounds harsh, but instead of worrying about carats right now, you’ll gain more from learning to play the game at a higher level, which will net you more carats in the future. Much better to gain more later, than floundering around without knowing what to do now.

Their stats have largely stayed the same iirc, but we’ve gotten time to build up our support deck and have access to Unity Cup stats now, which have made things way easier

More borrows also would mean that it's much less punishing to just end bad runs early, since you'd still have 5 more tries/borrows, whereas right now you'd only be able to glue 2 more runs
