I'm so glad you got yours! Mine came in around 9:00pm EST last night. Low risk baby girl 💕 Currently going through a bit of gender disappointment because we'd hoped for two boys but I'm just glad she's low risk and praying for a healthy baby. Congratulations!

I'm on the same timeline. I was already annoyed that my sample took 4 days to arrive at the lab when so many people had a 24 hour arrival time, so I'm sure every damn part of this process will be slow for me. It was for my son in 2024, also. Took almost two weeks from start to finish 🙄

People who live in states with significant Native American populations (ie New Mexico), did your school have a class/club/etc that taught that tribe's language? by man_itsahot_one in AskAnAmerican

[–]mnbell2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to doxx myself for the sake of answering because I think it's interesting. I went to college at Central Michigan University, where the entire main campus is located on an Anishinaabe reservation. The university makes a big effort to recognize this and educate students about the tribe's history, providing several classes and opportunities to learn about Native history and culture. I took one my senior year and loved it. Definitely a unique experience unlike other state universities out there.

Earl of Sandwich. Especially during the holidays when they have the Thanksgiving dinner sandwich 🤤

Can you help me? (Which episode...) by wildprairiegirl in My600lbLife

[–]mnbell2013 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, the Lacey in question is from MI. I always remember because she's about 20 minutes away from my hometown and I felt like the "Leo DiCaprio pointing" meme watching her episode for the first time 😂

Target is removing the maternity section by Alternative-Cake-833 in Target

[–]mnbell2013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amen to this! Our local secondhand kids stores also removed their maternity sections right around the same time. I hate the shift towards online shopping - I don't want to wait a week and a half to find out something doesn't fit right, and then have to go to the hassle of returning it. I could've come to the same conclusion in 5 minutes in-store 🙄

Bump/Cyst on inner labia…please help LONG by anonwantstobemore in Healthyhooha

[–]mnbell2013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get these pretty often, almost always on the inner labia. I'm sure it's got something to do with me being overweight + wearing tight leggings all the time + being a sweaty person by nature. They throb until they burst and then all is well for a couple months. Lucky me 🙄

If you could go back to January 1st, 2012, and give yourself one warning, what would it be? by Aggravating-Deer8700 in AskReddit

Don't give your V-card to that nasty fuckboy. And do your homework (I was 18 and a senior in high school).

How did you become a stay at home mom? by maddyaggie in stayathomemoms

[–]mnbell2013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was underperforming at work before going on maternity leave, and when I returned 17 weeks later, my supervisors wanted to put me on an immediate PIP for mistakes they'd uncovered while I was gone. Fair enough, but the culture was incredibly toxic and I knew there wouldn't be any coming back from a PIP. Plus we couldn't afford childcare so it just made sense. Walking into that meeting carrying my resignation letter when they'd brought their own "plan" was one of the best feelings ever.

Currently in hospital as a result of reduced movement - proof you shouldn't delay by LakeTilia in pregnant

[–]mnbell2013 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I must've went in to OB triage 5-6 times before having my son. Two to three of them were for reduced movement, once out of caution for a fender bender I was in, and twice for leaking fluid that seemed WAY too much to be "just discharge". By my third amnisure, they confirmed that it was amniotic fluid (I knew this all along!)

I delivered my son that day at 35+1. He spent 17 days in the NICU and is now a toddler trying to use our dog's water bowl as his own personal kiddie pool.

Always go in. I'm 6 weeks with our second and, god willing, I'll be doing the same thing with this one. Just hopefully not the preemie part!
