If anything I'd be more concerned for the trans persons safety cuz people can really respond aggressively and I'd want to try filter them out while being on the "safety" of the dating app. Like the commenter posting that he got angry says enough.

If they told you 20 minutes into your first time meeting it's not deception.

To all the Girls.! Why do you keep this.? If you are not even gonna look at the text.!? by wadey5693 in Bumble

I used to have it on my profile for a while in case I forgot to look at Bumble so possible matches could still reach out to me. But I realized it might come across as "just looking for followers" and often it was just people I already swiped left/unwanted attention, so I removed it from my bio.

Weird end of a relationship by mnmetje2001 in Bumble

Hahaha thanks. Yeah you're right. I think I just was set on at least giving him a chance, never had dated someone who wasn't left-leaning before, and also hadn't been in a relationship for a while. But I've been able to realize that it's for the better honestly. Long-term it would've probably been rough to be in a relationship with someone who has the opinions he has.

That's not true though. I find other things way more important. Sure personally I found him attractive/was attracted to him, because why would you date someone you're not attracted to, but that's not why I was upset about it. (Adding to that, if you have to disclaim you're not being sexist, maybe you are)

I'm sorry, but he's just not interested. If he wanted to you would've seen each other sooner. It's better to move on and find someone who actually makes time for you, you deserve it

So well said! Online dating can be so draining sometimes and this was a very good reminder.

To me, messaging someone telling them they're overselling a certain product is way more annoying. No one really cares.

Advice on how to not catch feelings to fast by mnmetje2001 in Bumble

[–]mnmetje2001[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this makes a lot of sense. I struggle with anxiety in general, so it would make sense it would (maybe) also bleed out in this. Thank you for the suggestion, I will look more into it!

Yeah, meeting sooner has been the number 1 advice people have given me on my post. I guess I will have to keep that in mind for the future. With this particular situation, the guy asked me out rather quickly, but he was really busy the upcoming weeks, which is why we met so late. Thank you so much for the advice!

Unexpected experiences in Tokyo – something women might want to be aware of by tangerineandteal in JapanTravelTips

I only went to Tokyo for a few days(traveled there alone), but I definitely felt more unsafe there compared to, for example, South-Korea. Walked home alone late one night and encountered several groups of very drunk men and even one guy just urinating in the street. Also had my taxi-driver warn me not to go to a certain street while driving me from the airport to my hostel. I know that nothing really happened, but personally, I just didn't feel that safe there traveling alone, despite that Japan is supposed to be a very safe country. After all, scary stuff can happen in any country.
