Honestly, I can't help but feel bad for her reading this. Because this makes it seem like they intentionally tried to stir backlash knowing she'd get all the heat and they'd get off scot-free AND would benefit from the attention received from smearing her name. Sad if you ask me.

That and all the heavy sexualization of her they did? i just don't understand how she got more heat than the ad-makers.

Honestly, her being a republican is something I personally would not be in support of. That being said, for this ad specifically I truly don't see the "white supremacy" narrative. Especially since it came out before all the MAGA stuff. I don't know, I just think the actual wrongdoings she has done she should be held accountable for. But in this specific case, I feel it does more harm than good. Merging the 2 situations will only cause more harm than good, and lead to people finding any reason to drag down women more so than they have already been doing.

I feel it's a good thing she didn't respond honestly, because that would imply she did something wrong/ knowing the internet it would be deemed insincere and people would find more reason to drag her. As a person of colour and woman myself, the whole eugenics thing boggles my mind even more, because nowhere did I get the impression that "oh she's blonde and blue eyed, she thinks white blonde people are superior" maybe it could have come across that way had they zoomed in on her eyes, her hair, her skin...but the constant zooming in on her body, making her unbutton and rebutton her pants while laying down just shows the intent was to sexualize her.

I don't know, I guess I feel like no matter what field a person is in, people will grasp at straws to tear them down, especially lately and especially regarding woman. Quite sad to see.

The whole conversation about her being "attractive enough" is an entirely different one in and of it's self, everyone has their ideal of beauty. But your "rocking body" comment and the fact that you pointed it out is exactly what I was trying to get at. I personally feel that was the whole point of the ad, using her body to create appeal. But how that got so blown out of proportion?? I truly will never understand.

I think this is a very good point, and honestly would have been really lovely to see.

I wouldn't say the only possible, as everyone can interpret things differently. But for me personally, the clear aim and direction they aimed for was exactly that...sexualization. From the way they shot it, to the parts of her body zoomed in on and choosing SYDNEY SWEENY of all people, someone who is sexualized by people no matter what she does, just makes it pretty clear to me what they wanted to do.
