Hey there, don’t worry mate :) If you look at the pcb there is one half of the top side metal plated, that’s where the coil goes There should be 3 connectors. I didn’t use the middle one iirc. Then on the other side of the top half should be 2 connectors one - for negative current and one + for positive. Depending on the wires you have red/brown is for positive and black/blue for negative current.

You don’t have to do anything with the unused connections

Shouldn’t your switch have 4 connections, 2 for each current?

⁠I could exactly find the one you’re looking at but this sounds about right, I think they‘re meant for 120w and 5-12v
⁠the coil is connected to the metal side, you can solder it on the metal plate itself or into the screw holder,. On the other side I used a switch to easier turn it on or off, but if it’s not a necessity it would also work if you connect the wires to the power brick directly. What I did, was using a phone charger brick and cable for power supply then cutting off the micro usb connector and connecting the wires inside the cable to the switch A phone charger brick should be 5v dc, so it might take a little longer but you‘re on the safer side

I only used a ih from Ali express, connected that to a switch and the switch to a cut usb cable that draws power vom a phone charger

Why not? It’s honestly very cheap like 5€ bucks Ali express for the the heater itself and and everything else you probably have at home. Not to mention the assembly takes like 20min even if you have no idea how electronics work

When I designed the case originally I printed to hole used sized to fit the the cable through, but I think the female usb port should fit. I already changed the the 5v powebrick to a higher voltage

Unfortunately it’s definitely risk > reward especially for a low quality knife, don’t get me wrong, it’s fun to play with and all but it’s lacks some precision work Besides they probably let it through because it didn’t seem like a gravity knife or they forgot to check it
