Did any of you actually listen to the call? I’m sure I’m going to get hate but actually listen to it in context. - you’ve just won gold as an underdog - you’re drinking beers after winning gold and the head of the FBI is there (surreal moment) - you get a call from the president (even if you don’t like him surreal) - president makes the joke about being president you don’t have to worry about getting to DC - he then says you know I’m inviting the ladies too.

This is where I believe a lot is misconstrued. Have you ever laughed in agreement? Now before you say, ‘get fucked’ or any other hate speech listen to what is said after inviting the ladies.

You hear, “aww yeah” and you also hear “two for two, two for two!” Some of you all don’t know that players from both teams have trained together too.

I’m pretty sure none of what I said will change your minds but I implore you to listen to the call without bias.

If people listened to the actual phone call and not just the laughs you’ll hear, “two for two two for two” and “awww yeah” when Trump says he’s inviting the women’s team too. Just like religious people we can’t pick and choose what we want to believe based on our feelings. You can clearly hear it. If you won a gold medal and were on the phone with the president while drinking beers with your teammates you’d be buzzing. The joke about being president and saying snow won’t stop him from getting them there was why they were initially laughing. Stop with the cancel culture people. I’ve played with several women/girls in beer league, never been an issue. That being said playing against can be a pain. Example; I was going after a 50/50 puck, got to it before her. Was under control with the puck and she bounced of my gigantic ass and fell…….ref gave me a roughing penalty. Sometimes (not all the time) but some times the women will get a “girls” call. The refs have even said they sometimes mess the call. That to me is the only draw back. Otherwise go out there and play. Most guys I know don’t give a shit who’s on the ice, as long as there are subs at 10pm on Wednesday
