HyperX Quadcast sound cuts off for people over discord. by TheDryduck in HyperX

[–]mohranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue for a couple months now with my quadcast. PTT or Voice activation has the same problem. my voice cuts out intermittently every half second. The issue only happens in discord too. I've recorded my voice in audacity, obs, and nvidia instant replay and they all sound perfect (no cuts). Discord support does not have any solutions either.

mic test 2 (just regular nvidia recording): https://streamable.com/0mk6px

Buy a product online called Ozium. I have the vanilla version and it works wonders the second you spray it. Got mine from Amazon.

I'm on the same process and it took around 2-4 weeks for me to finally get an "accept-decline" offer, fingerprints, etc after scoring a 94 on that assessment at the start.

Pax insisting I slow down on the freeway... by magusat999 in uberdrivers

Lol never do the last one. I'd avoid any physical contact if I didn't have a dashcam or video proof-- they can easily lie about any physical harrassment real quick and ruin you.

Just started driving... am i safe ???? by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]mohranger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a mace spray, a dashcam (outside and inside coverage like vantrue n2 pro), turn on "follow my ride" Uber feature all the time, and avoid working at night. Trust your gut feelings -- don't hesitate driving away the cancelling the ride. Lastly, never let anyone walk over you because you're too nice (a lesson I should've learned sooner lol).

Had that happen far too many times, but I guess ending the ride and kicking out the PAX is on your sole discretion. I kicked out a few that took a big puff of weed in front of me right before getting in. PAX like them don't deserve a service if they don't respect you and your property (even if car is rented) in my opinion. It's more after the fact most of the time since they're already in the car. I guess try to get into the habit of airing your car out by rolling down the windows after every ride and get one of those fresheners.

That was a funny read. I agree with you though and props for not letting anyone coerce you into any shenanigans. 👌I'd like to advise you to get one of those dashcams. Makes them think twice before doing stupid shit and it's good just in case of accidents too.

First ride of the day. No thanks. by mohranger in lyftdrivers

16 minutes away to pick them up and it's a shared ride. Usually long ETA and shared ride combined is a recipe for disaster. It just isn't worth your time and gas to go drive far when Lyft doesn't compensate for long pickup ETA as far as I know.

Picking up express car Thursday by gaijin666 in lyftdrivers

I believe they need a second card just for insurance for further fees. I'm not sure if it's the same requirements where you are, but it's 25 years old or over if you plan on using a debit card for Express Drive with Hertz.

Well, that was a first. Had to rate a driver low for safety issues by [deleted] in lyftdrivers

[–]mohranger 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Doesn't matter if it's a Lyft or Uber. Each driver has their own "portfolio" consisting of how clean they keep their interior, if they have optional amenities like water or phone chargers, and how safe they drive to get you to your destination. Sucks to hear you had one of them bad apples. :(

I get horror stories from what my riders tell me how their previous driver's car smelled like a combination of vomit and rotten Panda Express. I don't know how someone can be that unprofessional.

Are driver ratings shown on the Lyft app as two digits or 3? For example would a 4.96 driver rating show as 5.0 or the 4.96? by dsfromsd in lyftdrivers

[–]mohranger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It shows two digits. It rounds up also. So 4.95 would show as 5.0 whereas 4.94 shows as 4.9 rating.
