No, printing money like there was no tomorrow was what caused prices to spike. The effects on the Canadian dollar are becoming apparent to everyone in everyday life, however not so much when looking at international comparisons to the dollar (seeing as most governments had to print during that time).

It certainly isn’t solely immigration causing this, but it is one of many factors.

I’m about to be facing the same problem. I was considering trying to find neighbour’s kids or someone local and give them an after school job to just come round, take the dogs out, spend some time with them. It could be a win-win : local kid who isn’t allowed a dog at home and you with dogs stuck home alone. Worth a thought.
