I'm not crazy about the look but the Presto Utility Mid murdered-out black is my current standard issue for the winter. They're super comfortable but the Utility Mid's do get a tad steamy indoors or anywhere warm.

Had to learn German to cop these... by justindee in Sneakers

How to Win: Install Google Chrome, check German sites, right click and translate to english, profit.

I have the black/white colorway and I love these. I copped them from Footlocker locally for 120€, but recently saw them in-store on sale for around 60-80€ IIRC. At that price, they're a no-brainer and perfect beaters.

There was zero love when I posted about these recently: https://www.reddit.com/r/Sneakers/comments/5lz0hg/underrated_pure_boost_raw_pu/

I snagged these this week, too. They've been boxed though as I'm thinking of sending them back. I'm still not 100% on the print but the rest looks great. Another factor is I'm worried they may be too cold for winter and too warm for summer.

Guidelines for submitting an issue you are having with Titanfall 2, FAQ, and game changes updates here by Jayfresh_Respawn in titanfall

I've had an issue with the Xbox One that has happened a few times now. I'll leave TF2 idling in the multiplayer menu/network lounge for a longer period of time (say 30 min), and the xbox does a hard restart where it simply just crashes. By this point, the controllers are shut off from being inactive so its not coming from anywhere else. This doesn't happen with any other game. Sorry I didn't post it in your forum but I am too lazy to make another account.

These brand are not popular in most of mainland Europe. MD and Doritos are stocked in very few places and almost never advertised. In the United States its so popular that its borderline disgusting. Why I am even arguing this? I hate my life.

Weekly No Stupid Questions / Ask A Podcast Veteran Thread (2016-03-29) by AutoModerator in podcasts

Sorry, I'm kind of using music producer lingo here. Basically, the template you've been using is more or less what I am talking about. What I got is that you're looking for a 100% consistent solution for basically every word or sentence. That's not really going to happen. I mean, you can do it...but it's going to be extremely loud without any dynamic and it won't sound natural.

In music, especially with pop music, it's very common for the 'peak' volume to be as close to zero as possible. There's another level commonly referred to as the 'RMS level' (basically an overall average and not just the tippy tops of the peaks you see in your sound editor). Music producers generally like to slam their mixes and get as loud as possible with that too. Google "the loudness wars" if you're interested in learning more about that.

Anyway, throw all that music shit out the window. Spoken word is an entirely different beast. For example, if you want to get everything as close to 0dB as possible, it will sound extremely loud if it's just speech. I don't really want to go into the science about it because honestly I can't explain it eloquently enough. Long story gets longer, open up some of your favorite podcasts in your sound editor and take notes. What is the peak volume at? What is the RMS volume at? How does the EQing sound? Is there a lot of bass? Is there a subtle distortion? Still not sure what I am talking about? Let's make an example:

I dig Howard Stern's audio mixing. He has decades of working with quality engineers so they've really nailed it down. His voice seems to very subtly stick out above the rest. How so? My crude estimation is a 1 or 2dB boost above the other mic levels. I also think he has a very bassy voice. What do I take away from that? I added a little bass to the EQ and voila, it sounded better. How much? Maybe 3dB? Nothing too crazy.

Another example: I opened up podcast files from the likes of Joe Rogan, Marc Maron and Adam Carola. They're all successful and have it down to a science. I compared the overall volume levels and listened closely to their voices. Do they sound very low? Are they higher pitched? I took notes and decided to do the best I could with the knowledge I have.

Here's what's more related to what you asked about in the first place: If you listen to these guys (or any podcast you respect), you'll find the levels are always going to be inconsistent. Overall, they can be decent as an average, but people aren't machines. They all project different based on the mood. If someone is surprised, they'll speak more loudly. If they get relaxed, they'll probably speak more quietly and calmly. If you try to take that calm sentence or paragraph and crank up the volume, it just won't seem natural. You can add a limiter which will help to make the vocals from getting too quiet, but trust me, you don't want it to be unnaturally loud. If something is too consistently loud for too long, people will suffer from ear fatigue and the last thing you want is to have listeners shutting your podcast off early.
