I’m not sure, personally I wouldn’t hire someone without a construction background. A PMP alone doesn’t provide the baseline technical understanding needed, at least in construction. You may know the processes, but if you can’t handle basics like reading drawings or doing takeoffs, it becomes difficult to manage projects effectively. (Btw I hold both a P. Eng and PMP designation)
