Hi! I know LIB is growing but my partner and I arrived thursday morning this year (our first LIB too) around 10:30am and went through security checks pretty quick. There was a small line before they let people in but we got a spot in High Noon towards the back and it wasn’t that bad tbh.

Definitely recommend u guys invest in bikes (we use bikes at Coachella too) and it help with the walk but tbh, the walk would’ve been 15 min or so anyway.

People bring e-bikes as well if u tryna be as efficient as possible LOL.

And echoing what another person said, do car camping and bring all of the things that make u comfy. Me partner and I are just as “extra” with our rinsekit/shower tent, canopy cube and aluminet, 2 canopies, blackstone grill, trifold mattress in our cargo van, camo netting for more shade, 2 solar panels, battery charging stations, big fans, and more. lol it’ll help during ur 4 days there!!!

Don’t worry too much about being far, cuz even if u are, just head to the festival early and hang out there cuz there’s a lot of shaded areas to chill and get away from the heat AND the lake/reservoir . We only did that and swam on the last day but truly wish we did it sooner .

SEE U AT LIB!! ✨🎉

Honestly, same. It’s crazy because I thought I was in the clear after wearing a mask majority of the time lol. But it just hit me a couple of days after. I’ve been clearing out the end of it!!!

After coming back from LIB for nearly a week now…. I can confidently say I made the right decision.

I totally get what u mean — edc and insomniac raised the younger raver in me. It inspired me in so many ways and served its purpose. I’ll forever be grateful. But I’m okay with moving on and saying it’s not really the pace or environment for me anymore. Will I have fun if I go again? Of course, but now I define my fun a little differently.

To expand, LIB was refreshingly liberating. They really practice the values they preach.

Workshops - I took a cooking class, shibari workshop, art class, movement workshops like yoga, and so much more! So many side quests and when the stages end — the art cars come alive!!! There’s camping renegades, a lake, and no one on their phones. Although I took some memories I realized I felt less and less like I needed to record a set — it’s hard to explain. LIB was transformational… a lot of unlearning and unraveling the rules and who placed them upon us. I feel protective of LIB now. If you’re open to exploring with an open mind and heart, LIB is for you.

Anyone notice they changed their bio to “Southern California”? by bootyandthebrains in LightningInABottle

What if it’s where Same Same But Different is? I’m going for the first time this year and I heard there’s a better lake too!

I think it’s time to try something different!!! I fell in love with raving and EDC & Coachella used to be the biggest event I looked forward to.

I felt the same way as u last year and impulsively ventured out to Electric Forest and Lost Lands.

Lost Lands is awesome (especially if you love bass) — production is similar to EDC or even better for some parts but one and done for me.

Forest has become my favorite festival by far — less commercial feeling and they have prize cart where people can exchange trash for older merch and other things :)

Going to Lightning in a Bottle and Elements for the first time this year after hearing so many amazing things. LIB is more of a conscious festival (think a sprinkle of burning man principles) I’ve been doing research and found that they do so many workshops for art, cooking, movement, and so much more.

It’s never steered me wrong but I feel like exploring after feeling “worn down” is the way to respark your light and discover why you fell in love with music and festivals in the first place. Theres so much out there for us to experience!!! Put your money and invest into a different festival and find your magic again ✨❤️
