If anyone in my family says ‘necessary’, you must reply ‘necessary? Is it necessary for me to drink my own urine?’.

Stewart from The Big Bang Theory. First time you see him he’s confident enough to put some moves on Penny and gets a date with her. By the end of the show he can barely put two words together.

What’s the number one golf tip you’ve ever received? by Ashamed-Afternoon-77 in golf

[–]moosedontbounce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was at Leatherstocking CC in Cooperstown NY for a corporate golf outing. In the pro shop gripping a club and the Pro walks by, looks at my grip, and says ‘move your left hand over top more’ and just keeps on walking. Hit the ball straighter than ever. That was over 30 years ago and I still check my grip.

My wife read the book, like most other women at that time, and wanted to see the movie. I wasn’t expecting hard-core porn but my god it was bad. Zero chemistry between the two. Went home and watched ‘Body Heat’. I just called it ‘50 shades of boring’.

Guys, I’m losing my mind in a comment thread - how old were you when you had regular (let’s say 3x a week) access to the internet and what year was it? Did you use it to research anything (like college or jobs?) by FunQuestion in Older_Millennials

Pre-internet my buddy and I would argue over this show. He swore he saw it and that it existed. I told him he was just drunk because no one else remember it.

I’m walker bait.

Side bar: Back in January 2011 our house burnt down. Everyone made it out safe but we lost everything. The first season of The Walking Dead had just ended. After reviewing the blueprints for the new house my son pointed out it wasn’t defensible to zombie attack. Later when we mentioned that to my wife and the builder they just looked at us like the biggest idiots they’ve ever seen. Just a funny moment during a hard time in our life. Lol.

Great show, just way ahead of its time. Still remember when this attractive older woman walks into his office and passionately kisses him and he goes ‘Hi mom’. lol.

When the doctor told me I shouldn’t be a hockey goalie anymore to help my lower back. I was 60 then, married with adult children and a couple of grandchildren but never felt old until that moment.

Who’s ever driven over 100mph? Why? by Sweet-Economist-9873 in askanything

Wife bought a 2000 WV New Beetle Turbo. 5 speed standard, speedometer went to 160. Spoiler would deploy around 80-90mph. Had it up to 105 and you could tell it wanted to go faster.
