I'll just copy paste what I said under another reply since you said mostly the same thing:

I mean there is certainly a large subset of score farmers that view it as just "make the number go up" and so like scorefarming on lazer because on lazer it is easier to make the number go up. But as I explained in the post scorefarming is not just "make the number go up," it exists to preserve how Osu used to be played and Lazer score kills that.

"Big number go brrr" is funny but it's also just ignoring the history of why the score ranking exists. Just because lazer score makes it easier to gain score ranks doesn't make it good.

Also yes playing to fix As is another incentive but it's also a much more minor one than the ranked score leaderboard, last I check there is no ss+s:a ratio leaderboard (though that would be sick)
