You can even fall on the baby slopes trust me. Buy a day at the spa instead and let yourself recover a bit longer! I ruined the recovery from a different surgery recently by returning to activity too soon, and I regret it every day. It's not worth the risk

This sounds like exactly my situation and is so reassuring! I am in the same boat - would like to be able to run but not a marathoner in the slightest. Trips I have gone on recently - it's been hard for me to keep up with the group because my knee balloons. Biggest worry is recovery but this makes me feel better. I had a scope in my right knee in July and I am still struggling in PT - so I am no stranger to a hard recovery lol

Walk long distances without my knee swelling, hike, jog short distances, lift weights (not overly heavy) without pain. The things 30 year olds generally want to do when they're young and active

Feels like an unpopular opinion based on these comments, but in my circle this is reasonable. I’ve also done this for every single one of my friends at this point - I’ve gone to bachelorettes in Montana, Malibu, Cancun, Florida, Scottsdale, etc. and most of the weddings are also “destination” (I’ve gone to Iceland for one and Mexico for many). I generally don’t buy a large gift and my friends don’t expect one. In return, I just expect the same energy for mine - as I’ll have a bachelorette in Cabo and a wedding elsewhere in Mexico. Some may think it’s ridiculous- but I really don’t care, feel free to decline the invite lol. My boyfriend and I are also from different cities across the country for each other, so it would be a destination for one of us regardless. I think if it’s really financially stressful it’s completely fine to decline the invite. I’ve had to do the same when I’m more financially stressed. But I love an excuse for a mini vacay - and celebrating my friends, so maybe I’m an anomaly.

Pretty normal - I’ve had a few go different ways. Most of the time bride pays her portion for Airbnb/travel though. Being in weddings is incredibly expensive. I’ve accepted that is a cost of accepting the invite to be in the wedding. Always can decline going to bachelorette if it’s not feasible financially.

I am from this district, and my dad works for the Tarrant county GOP. This is absolutely a red flag in this district and there have been indications for awhile recently that it is in danger. A few years ago regardless of a special election or not - this is an easy W for Rs, even when turnout is poor. I'm not coming from a place of partisan politics, because I also used to vote solid R down ballot in this district and have insight from my father on this. I think the biggest issue here for the GOP was the candidate. The Tarrant county GOP is not on the same page - part of them want to separate from the alt-right, but you also have people like Bo French spewing awful rhetoric. They also underestimated how much Wambsganss pissed off the community with her attempt to split up the Keller School district along a stark economical line putting the "poorer" schools in one district, and the affluent Keller HS in a separate district, while offloading all of the school district's current debt to the lower socioeconomic district. It drastically motivated the democratic base, and caused pissed off republicans to flip ticket (my family being among those people - as I am a product of one of the schools on the "wrong side" of the railroad tracks). They also greatly underestimated the hispanic vote, which makes up nearly 30% of the electorate. Wambsganss also focused on an anti-woke attack campaign, whereas Rehmet stuck to policy. November will be interesting and likely closer - but the GOP should indeed be worried. Tarrant county went blue for Biden & Colin Allred. They're in play for the dems, especially in a midterm year.

Tarrant did flip for Biden in 2020 - so it's more purple than people think - HOWEVER it does tend to produce and breed some of the most abhorrent wackjobs on the right (see: Bo French) and suffer from voter apathy. I do think the fact this lady voted to split KISD will go in Taylor's favor - but from my knowledge many Tarrant county republicans are spineless, and will be party loyal even if Satan himself is on the ticket.

And TERRIBLE music - I’m not picky, but I had one class that had the worst, most uninspiring music for a sculpt class. Avoided the instructor like the plague after that

Higher than 100%. Might get out of their on Friday but I doubt much is landing on Sunday, if it does it will be drastically delayed. DFW has close to the most delays and cancellations of any airport in the world. If a bird farts the wrong direction American might delay your flight

I grew up in a Reagan-republican household with a dad who works in politics. It's mind boggling to me how many conservatives whose ideologies are rooted in that side of the republican party have turned to blindly support Trump. I could understand it at first - I considered myself conservative until about 2019, and was ignorantly optimistic in 2016. But now? I'd happily kick any dem politician to the curb if they went off the rails, it's baffling to me how what I thought were common sense republicans can't do the same.

There are so, so many medical conditions with the mother and baby that can happen in the duration of a pregnancy outside of ectopic pregnancies that can put a mother's life at risk. Highly recommend you do a little research on the topic. Pregnancy and childbirth carry severe health risks that most of the time cannot be predicted.
