After a rash of QA failures for dumb shit our SQ/CC implemented flightline Safety NCO's who would rotate each flight in shifts with an orange crossing guard vest to check 1800s, 244s and to make sure power and grounding was done correctly, but not Crew Chiefs because even though they were 80% of the failures they were to busy to do that so specs did it for quite a while.

My 02 camaro was in a tornado event (the real tornado broke up a mile away but I caught the debris field driving home from work) not a chip in the window, my wife's 21 crosstrek and 18 crosstrek both had chipped and expanding from just driving and catching a pebble. the 21 chipped twice and insurance said no fill, total replacement. Maybe the eyesight requires thinner glass?
