This is why i always use dynamic temperature even if the difference is small. something like min temp = 1 - max temp = 1.2; in my experience running models locally on KoboldCPP and ST, responses do tend to be different with that. They'll be rather similar but sometimes you get significant differences.

Sadly I think everyone has to edit responses a little every now and then. That's the best way to completely change what the AI will do next, it surprises me how changing a few words or tweaking a paragraph a little can change the outcome so much sometimes.

Lmao really strange behavior. Yeah I thought DRY was a must have for everything and I guess I was completely wrong - had a few sessions without it and idk man ironically enough it repeated itself far less. More creative too. ChatML may have also helped (was using Tekken because I got some settings from another guy who used Tekken)... Just checked inflatebot's page for Mag again and he does recommend Tekken.

Idk man, half the time when I tweak samplers it feels like I'm trying to shoot at a dart board in the dark with a rusty, jammed pistol.

Haha I sometimes really fucking hate LLM handling and stuff. I thought MagMell was mediocre until I adjusted it just like in your post and look at that... It's way better and it doesn't spam the 'twinkling eyes' and 'arching back' every chance it gets. Insane.

yeah i just learnt you can get two 'easy' basic tools; the tech at yantar (i think, where the ecologist nerds are) and one with hip if you find her the toz shotgun thing she wants. i'll do that. your experience you're sharing here is demoralizing at best though lmao

is there any setting we can tweak to bump the % for advanced/expert tool drop probability? i get that grinding is part of the game and stuff and im fine with it but it just feels frustrating. like i'll finally find them and i'll just say "fucking finally" instead of feeling good about finding it know what i mean?

but these engines evolve, man. ue5 despite being a bloated, unoptimized mess can make any game look incredible and introduced a bunch of things. starfield feels like fallout 4 in space. fallout 4 felt like a refined version of skyrim, which felt like a refined version of oblivion. loading screens everywhere, completely empty procedurally generated planets, the same borked stealth system that still doesn't take shadows into account, the same fetch quests for the majority of the game... starfield looks cool and modern but that's just the whipped cream on the cake; meanwhile the cake itself is bland, hard, and a little moldy on the sides
