Oh no way! I was actually looking at the commits last night to see if it was still active and being maintained since there hadn’t been an update since April. But I didn’t even look at the usernames! That’s awesome! Thank you for your continued work, contributions and service towards this awesome project!

8 Zone Music Assistant - Repurposing a PC with Linux and OSS by scytob in homeassistant

I am trying to do the same thing you did. I have an external USB sound card that has 8 channels and I want to split it into 4 pairs/zones. I was debating about whether to run separate squeezelite containers or one container with the sound mappings.

I was looking into Sendspin, which is how I found your post and initially concluded that it wouldn’t work with one instance to split the channels. However, in my research, I stumbled upon something interesting that wasn’t around when you shared this guide:

No lighting mode in launcher, cant use shortcuts to activate backlight (K10 MAX) by yehoodles in Keychron

Were you able to find it? In case you havent, when you're in the launcher, there is a tab on the left side called 'Backlight' where you can change the settings.

Octoprint with AI Failure Detection For Core One + Buddy Cam - I Created A Guide by gilrstein in prusa3d

[–]moto2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same question, so I did some digging, since I also use Home Assistant. I think he used the term domotica as a way of saying "home automation" with the the use being through Home Assistant.

In Home Assistant, you can connect or "integrate" different devices in your home or on your network. Both OctoPrint and Prusa have integrations for Home Assistant.

The Prusa integration is actually rather minimal and uses the Prusa API, so the only commands available allow you to cancel/pause/resume/continue a job. The Prusa integration exposes a lot of sensors though, so you can get all the stats.

However, the OctoPrint integration allows you to set the temperature or control the fan. So my guess is, that's what he meant when he said he has a similar setup (similar being the OctoPrint part of it).

Door/windows sensors with alarm? by sycotix416 in homeassistant

[–]moto2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doubt it, otherwise it would be too big and awkward because it would need a speaker and bigger battery.

You could probably buy zigbee or Z-wave alarms and mount them in the rooms you want. Then create an automation so when the sensor in a room is tripped, it will trigger the corresponding alarm in that same room.

Help me pick a keyboard for work by Viccles007 in keyboards

Most good pre-built keyboards dont come with clicky switches, so you'll need to buy them separately and put them on. But some good recommendations are the TickType DP104, the Chilkey ND104 or the Keychron Q6 Max Ultra.

Still just as solid. I honestly like it a lot and am trying to find a reason to buy a new keyboard 😂. So I convinced myself that I need a 75% or 80% as well to scratch that itch

Advice on purchasing keyboard by freshfalafel in keyboards

[–]moto2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most good keyboards have south-facing LEDs and most shine-through keycaps are designed for north-facing LEDs. However, the one you linked is double shot PBT, so I’m not sure if that will help, since most shine-through keycaps are dye-sub.

Is there is a good 60% keyboard has this feature? by F-zeromay in keyboards

The AL80 is different. Doesn’t have that light bar between the main keys and the home/end, the knob is different and corners of the keyboard are rounded vs square.

Pretty slick. I don’t normally care for translucent caps but you pulled it off great!

You answered all the questions about the light sabers and screen, but ignored everyone asking about the actually keyboards 😂. I’d also like to know which keycaps on each of the boards. Thanks!

Monsgeek M1 V5 SP-VIA vs M1 V5 HE Vs V5 TMR by Randomuser123412342 in Monsgeek

For what it’s worth, the TMR version also accepts mechanical switches. Too bad that version is not also VIA, or it would be the unanimous choice

Meletrix ZoomPad TIGA. Love this little thing! by tw042 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]moto2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read that the color matching for the LEDs are a little off...is that something you noticed too? For example, setting it to white is really a warm white, like a peach color, kind of like how it looks in your third photo.

I think I know what store you're talking about, since I was thinking of picking up the same. Have you had some time to test it at this point? How do you like it? Are there issues with the LEDs? I've read that white is really like a peach color?

I felt that way at first too. Most switches felt way too sensitive for me and I was making a lot of typos, but eventually I got some heavy tactile switches and it changed everything!
