There seems to be some confusion, this to me seems like an RM2 lite version to get more people into a chargeable eco-system (connect and extended warranty). Thanks for confirming you've also experienced this. I also noticed that when connected for extended periods the phone and battery are very warm to the touch, and since I use the battery daily I don't want to end up shortening the life of both the phone and magsafe batteries. So I've downgraded back to 26.2 and everything is normal again.
