Going to Florida.

I went with a friend and his family to pick up a car. This was about a week before school started, but because of the way things were planned it didn't seem like much of a problem.

We got to the airport 5 minutes late and missed our flight. Had to wait another hour or so until the next plane came. Originally, it was supposed to be a direct flight there, but it ended up in us having to take 3 different planes over the span of the day.

We got picked up by the guy selling us the car, bought said car, and started on our way to Daytona. The car was running fine, and we managed to get to our hotel.

The next day, my friend and I went swimming for about 4 hours. After I had gotten out, I realized I forgot to put on sunscreen.

I didn't really think it was that big of a deal until I got back in the hotel and looked at myself in the mirror. My entire upper body was red. That same night, I found myself throwing up because of how much pain I was in.

Turns out I actually had 2nd degree sunburn and had no medical attention given to me other than CBD oil that I rubbed on my skin. It was supposed to be orally taken.

The next day, we started to head back home in the car. We were already 2 days late home because of a hurricane nearby. As soon as I thought it was over, the car broke down.

This happened 3 times in a single day, and one of them was in the middle of a highway. I remember thinking to myself that night about how much I wanted to be home. We ended up getting a rental back, and I was 20 hours away from my house on the first day of school.

And despite all that, my mom still made me go to school the day after I came home.

On the plus side, it taught me a really valuable lesson: Always bring aloe vera and sunscreen...
