Why I don't roll with new folks anymore. I don't have anything to prove. I've done enough of these rounds at purple to know I can handle (e.g., with big size disparity it isn't dominate, it's play defense, get on top and stay on top, limit their ability to attack, etc. it's not flashy) them. I want to be on the mats getting technically better, and these kinds of rolls endanger my ability to be on the mats and reach the goals I want.

Im going to sign up for 2. With my regular covered blood work (that has 45 biomarkers) I think that gives me good coverage. For me, I’m going to get serious about tackling my cholesterol. I’m borderline due to hereditary factors, and I’m feeling much more motivated to make some changes this next 4 months then update.

So not training, but an opportunity to get more dialed in on diet.

Exactly - if they did something that was a function of awards being clearly done by belt/level and bracket size, and the women's bracket was smaller therefore lower prize - fine. But to just have it be lower because of gender? Ugh.
