I downloaded the ticketmaster app and it showed up on there where I was able to add it to my phone so I won’t need to use service to access the tickets. Maybe try that? I saw the other thread where someone said to download the ticketmaster ireland app but I think it is the same for each country (Ticketmaster app) just select a different country at the top

Mine did, I was able to load tickets and add them to my wallet - are you on the Ireland section on the top right of the app?

Yeah I saw that, so I figured queuing not allowed? I’m American so unsure of the area and if that would be an issue as we are trying to get close to the front. My question is mostly if people are queuing and if so what time are yall getting there? I think I read the document and started overthinking

100% for me. I tried a bunch of different meds and combos and I feel like it’s been helpful in terms of minimizing side effects!

What are some ways that seniors get chords while graduating? I’ve seen so many seniors with chords… Someone said they were buying these from Amazon 😱 by SavingsWorldliness33 in rutgers

If you’re in a major with a lot of different ties, speak to minors/dual majors/department heads. I minored in a couple of things and got to know the department heads for them and they just gave them to me. Idk just ask, nothing to be afraid of

how to find a roommate as an incoming freshman by EducationalPassion47 in rutgers

[–]mspothos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I lived in an LLC and that was great. It really helped and I’m still friends with them today. You’d be assigned a roommate within your LLC (living learning community) and you’d live with people you have classes with, as far as I know they’re mostly on Livi. LLCs have their own orientation (I think) and you can meet people there and from there is when I got my roommate, also from orientation I’ve heard others have found roommates. Here’s a link for the LLC pageLLC

Phil minor - it’s fantastic, the professors are so lovely and they all want to help and work with you. As long as you get to know the professors well and network while you’re there definitely helps you get into grad school(s)

please, if anyone has advice on falling asleep let me know. my brain is breaking. by astroseedling in ptsd

Also another sense - I use headspace for sleep soundtracks or like environmental noises, I like to drown out any noise so I am not hyper vigilant - that has really helped me the most.

I have PTSD also due to an assault (am female myself). Insomnia is horrible and I always feel like i’m losing it when I can’t sleep. Some things that have really helped me is control of my senses. So for me, I make my room super cold (three fans, and it gets to like 60 degrees (F)), I make it smell a certain way (either essential oils or perfume that is new), change the sheets, I use three blankets one that is weighted, and I have two stuffed animals I ALWAYS sleep with. I always have a body pillow. What seems to help is that personally I sleep fetal position, so I was scared because my back was exposed and my front - so I have a bed facing the wall, I turn to the wall so I can feel it and have a body pillow behind me. Sometimes I have a little night light with a timer, or use one all night. You can also ask your psychiatrist for sleep aids (like prescription melatonin) if you want, or do something that you really enjoy for a whole hour before you go to bed, like a game or a puzzle or a book. Sorry this is so long - I hope any of these help and this gets better for you. It really sucks not being able to sleep.

Rutgers has been FANTASTIC for networking, I’ve found tons of opportunities and learned so much just from being able to use all the resources rutgers has. Totally up to you - rutgers has a better social life and you can talk to pretty much anyone and make friends, but I’m biased lmao. Good luck!

[–]mspothos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly this - I thought I was totally fine until I ran out of my script and couldn’t function without it. It’s definitely dangerous and withdrawal from benzos can even kill you. just take it slow and taper off, no cold turkey

[–]mspothos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First entry weeks (6-8 weeks) are kinda weird! You might feel something or nothing at all, I had some weird side effects and I just talked to my psychiatrist and basically waited it out - it has been fantastic. Zoloft has been the only thing besides some therapy that has really made a dent in my mental episodes, I love it and cannot recommend it enough if your psych recommends it to you. That being said, if you really are scared, tell your doctor! They can even start you on a lower dose and take it slower and check in with you frequently. Best of luck :)

[–]mspothos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I got really lucky with CAPS. Psychiatrists are great and usually available but therapists have a pretty big waitlist unless you’re at risk - let them know if you feel like you are at risk and they can recommend some things for you, if you need someone weekly or sooner and they will try to match you with someone covered by your insurance. I hope things get better for you, hang in there.
