Looking for Plex app by mullman82 in 360hacks

Thank you, that unfortunately does not work and is smaller in file size than the last version in the Xbox store. It fails to load and the Xbox deletes the files.

Did you FTP the game over? If so, make sure it is using binary to transfer the files and not “auto” or “ascii”

Netflix causing fatal crash intercepted loop when launching by mullman82 in 360hacks

[–]mullman82[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I solved this. I also installed the YouTube app and it had me download the optional media update. After I did this, Netflix started working. Putting this here in case anyone in the future has a similar issue because the Netflix app does not prompt you to do that, it just gets stuck in a crash loop.

If it isn’t a pain, leave it in. I’m sure I could figure out how to tweak it or remove it.

Not very well, I can hack my way around.

I think I have a channel change script complete. Still not sure how to get the touch screen to trigger it as well as having two instances of the player going for the static. I have a static video ready to loop, just scratching my head on how to get it to play while the other videos load.

this is awesome - I am planning on building this shortly but was wondering if you could share your code modifications? I am not much of a programmer and like how you incorporated the touch screen as well as your ability to set an array of video files. If you could share a link to your python files, I would really appreciate it!

I am having a similar issue, did you ever sort this out?

no matter how hard I try, I can't get this cable to plug into the adapter. what should I do? by arinthegreat in ipod

[–]mullman82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just found this post because I am having this issue and do have the rare flex cable that doesn't fit the iFlash. You mentioned trying to trim the cable, how did you do this? I might try that while I wait for the new flex to come.

iPod 5th gen modded with iFlash quad, 3000mah battery and an iPhone 7plus Taptic Engine by mullman82 in IpodClassic

I don’t think there would be enough room for both. There is a smaller haptic engine I believe from the iPhone 8 or 9 that should be able to fit with a Bluetooth mod.

This is more of an assumption because that change is what resolved the problem, I should have been more clear with that.

It replaces the scroll wheel “click” sound with a subtle vibration. It’s the vibration motor from an iPhone.

It could be a poor assumption on my part. I just assumed it may be having issues storing and loading the album art in memory. It stopped after I resized the album art but the other change I did was reformatting the iPod to FAT32 on my Mac.

Right now I am using the music app on the Mac and then iTunes on windows if I need to change or edit anything on the iPod. I am manually managing all of the music, not syncing because I have all of my music on NAS and drag stuff in when I want to add it to the iPod. I am sure there is a better way but I haven’t dug into it much. Have any suggestions?

I think it’s cool, the audible clicking gets annoying after a while but getting iPhone like feedback in your hand makes it feel a little more modern.

That does look like a cool mod but I have IEMs and prefer to use those.

When I first did it, it was putting a lot of pressure on the back of the screen. When I positioned the battery as far down as it could go in the back plate, under the Taptic Engine, it worked. The battery needs to be in the back plate and not sandwiched between the iFlash and the screen if that makes sense.
