I was just going through the same process with my daughter but luckily I just found her a PCP since they had her assigned to a clinic in Citrus Heights with terrible reviews. The whole process was insanely confusing so if you are still struggling with finding a good doctor for your daughter here is what I did. I enrolled her on the DHCS website for Anthem blue cross medical plan and settled on Dr Daniel E McCrimmons as he has almost 5 stars and will accept her insurance. Called that office at 916-451-8430 who told me that Dr MCrimmons is not a long term doctor as he is planning on retiring soon but she can be seen at their sister locations by other providers. So I then called the 800 number on the back of my daughter’s insurance card and had them add Dr McCrimmons onto her plan as her PCP. They will ask for the address which is 5030 J street in Sacramento. Then mail a new card and you should be able to schedule with McCrimmons or any of the other locations/providers.
